Cendana Auto Rover is a Malaysian military light utility vehicle or light tactical vehicle designed and manufactured by a local company ''Cendana Auto''. This vehicles has similarities to the Humvee made by the United States. It is designed to have the ability to be modular for use in various operations hence its consist of various configuration depending on the mission. History The development of the vehicle first unveiled by the company in 2018. Its first started with the Special Operation Vehicle (SOV) variant where Cendana Auto introduces its SOV prototype to the public in conjunction of Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2018. According to the company, this SOV prototype was built in response to the Malaysian Army requirement for the light assault vehicle procurement. The Indonesian Light Strike Vehicle (ILSV) known as J-Forces Hurricane for export markets is a family of light military vehicles produced by J-Forces, under PT Jala Berikat Nusantara Perkasa. This vehicle was first introduced at Indo Defense 2014. Design The ILSV is basically a 4×4 multirole tactical vehicle built from the Toyota Hilux Generation VII chassis. The Dongfeng EQ2050 is a Chinese-made armored vehicle based on the Humvee, manufactured for government use by the Dongfeng Motor Group. It is known to be sold by the company for 700,000 Yuan ($93,000). The vehicle was created after People's Liberation Army (PLA) officials saw the Humvee deployed in the Gulf War.
