''Celeste'' is a 2018 Australian film directed by Ben Hackworth and written by Hackworth and Bille Brown. The film stars Radha Mitchell, Thomas Cocquerel, Nadine Garner and Odessa Young. Plot Celeste (Radha Mitchell) was once Australia’s most beloved opera singer. Ben Hackworth
Ben Hackworth (born 12 July 1977) is an Australian writer and film director. He is best known for his work on the films '' Martin Four'', ''Corroboree'' and '' Celeste''. Biography Ben was born in Brisbane, Queensland. His father is retired Colonel David Hackworth. He studied at Amherst College in the United States, before returning to Australian to complete a Masters of Film at Victorian College of the Arts. In 2005, he completed a Masters of Film with his script for a feature film called The Serpent. In 2006, he was accepted into the prestigious Cannes Film Festival residence to develop this project in Paris. Santa Barbara International Film Festival
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF) is an eleven-day film festival held in Santa Barbara, California since 1986. The festival boasts screenings of over 200 feature films and shorts from different countries and regions. SBIFF also includes celebrity tributes, industry panels and education programs. Adelaide Film Festival
The Adelaide Film Festival (AFF, formerly ADLFF) is film festival usually held for two weeks in mid-October in cinemas in Adelaide, South Australia. Originally presented biennially in March from 2003, since 2013 AFF has been held in October. Subject to funding, the festival has staged full or briefer events in alternating years; some form of event has taken place every year since 2015. From 2022 it takes place annually. William Gerald Brown AM (11 January 195213 January 2013) professionally known as Billie Brown was an Australian stage, film and television actor and acclaimed playwright. Early life Brown was born in Biloela, Queensland and studied drama at the University of Queensland. He began his career in the early 1970s at Queensland Theatre Company, working alongside Geoffrey Rush. He was openly gay. Abroad Brown's career took him abroad to Britain, where he joined the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), and was the first Australian commissioned to write and perform in their own play – ''The Swan Down Gloves''.
