Celebrity is a condition of fame and broad public recognition of a person or group as a result of the attention given to them by mass media. An individual may attain a celebrity status from having great wealth, their participation in sports or the entertainment industry, their position as a political figure, or even from their connection to another celebrity. 'Celebrity' usually implies a favorable public image, as opposed to the neutrals 'famous' or 'notable', or the negatives 'infamous' and 'notorious'. ''Celebrity'' was a British entertainment news programme, broadcast every weekday afternoon on ITV between 25 September and 22 December 2000. Background ''Celebrity'' featured entertainment news, celebrity interviews and coverage of events from the world of television, music and film - in a similar format to that of ''Access Hollywood'' broadcast on American television. The programme was presented by former CBBC presenter Andi Peters and GMTV newsreader Penny Smith live from MTV's studios in Camden every weekday afternoon between 5.05 pm and 5.30 pm. Celebrity (game)
Celebrity (also known as Celebrities, The Hat Game, Lunchbox, Fish Bowl, Salad Bowl, Sultan of Swat, or The Name Game) is a party game similar to Charades, where teams play against each other to guess as many celebrity names as possible before time runs out. Gameplay One team is chosen to go first, and that team selects a player to give clues to the rest of their team. Play begins when the clue-giver picks a name out of the hat. From that moment, they have one minute to get their team to guess as many celebrity names as possible before time runs. The clue-giver can say anything they want as long as it is not any part of the celebrity's name or a direct reference to the name. For Dolly Parton, it is acceptable to say, "She has her own theme park in Tennessee", but not, "She has a themepark called 'Dollywood'." Chevrolet Celebrity
The Chevrolet Celebrity is a mid-size automobile that was produced by the Chevrolet division of General Motors from the 1982 to 1990 model years. Replacing the Malibu, the Celebrity was initially slotted between the Citation and the Impala within the Chevrolet model line, eventually marketed between the Corsica and Caprice sedans. The Celebrity marked the transition of the GM A platform to front-wheel drive and was among a quartet of GM mid-size vehicles produced on the architecture. Sharing its roofline with the Buick Century, the Celebrity also shared design commonality with the Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera/Cutlass Cruiser, and the Pontiac 6000. ''Celebrity'' is the fourth and final studio album by American boy band NSYNC. It was released by Jive Records on July 24, 2001. Due to constant criticism that they were not a "credible group", NSYNC began experimenting with genres such as hip hop and two-step. As with their previous studio album, '' No Strings Attached'' (2000), numerous producers, including BT, Rodney Jerkins, Brian McKnight, PAJAM, and the Neptunes, worked on the album.
