The Catholic Bishops' Conference of Bangladesh is the episcopal conference of Bangladesh. History The CBCB was founded in 1971. The purpose of this Conference is to facilitate common policy and action in matters that affect or are liable to affect the interest of the Catholic Church in Bangladesh and to be of service to the country at large. Prior to the establishment of Bangladesh, the bishops of Bangladesh were members of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Pakistan. As of November 2013, the president of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Bangladesh is Cardinal Patrick D’Rozario, the Archbishop of Dhaka. The CBCB Center also use for meeting, conference with reasonable price. Bishop Moses Costa CSC of Chittagong diocese and Fr. Catholic Bishops' Conference Of Pakistan
The Pakistan Catholic Bishops' Conference (PCBC) is the episcopal conference of the Catholic bishops of Pakistan. Its objectives are to facilitate coordinated study and discussion of issues affecting the Church, and adoption of a common policy and effective action in all matters concerning the Church in Pakistan. The Pakistan Catholic Bishops' Conference decided on 18 April 1990 to build this new seminary for philosophical studies in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lahore. Prior to this the Christ the King Seminary in Karachi was the only major seminary in the country. Patrick D’Rozario
Patrick D'Rozario, CSC ( bn, প্যাট্রিক ডি'রোজারিও, translit=Pyaṭrik ḍi'rojario; born 1 October 1943) is a Bangladeshi prelate of the Catholic Church who was Archbishop of Dhaka from 2011 to 2020. He became a cardinal in 2016, the first from Bangladesh. He led other dioceses in Bangladesh from 1995 to 2010. Biography Patrick D'Rozario was born on 1 October 1943 in Padrishibpur, Barisal, British India (now part of Bangladesh). He took his vows as a member of the Congregation of Holy Cross on 14 June 1962 and was ordained a priest by the Servant of God Archbishop Theotonius Amal Ganguly on 8 October 1972. On 21 May 1990, Pope John Paul II appointed D'Rozario the first Bishop of Rajshahi, a diocese newly created from the Diocese of Dinajpur.
