Miss Colorado
The Miss Colorado competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Colorado in the Miss America pageant. Colorado has won the Miss America crown on three occasions. Savannah Cavanaugh of Beaver Creek, Colorado was crowned Miss Colorado 2022 on May 28, 2022 at The PACE Center in Parker, Colorado. She competed for the title of Miss America 2023 at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut in December of 2022. Cathy Gordon Brown (born March 18, 1965) was an Independent candidate for President of the United States in the 2000 United States presidential election, with ballot access only in her home state of Tennessee where she received 1,606 votes, which was more than either third party candidates Howard Phillips ( Constitution Party) and John Hagelin (Natural Law Party), or fellow Tennessee independent Randall Venson received. Brown's running mate was Sabrina R. Allen. On 20/20 Downtown, she stated she "always wanted to be the first woman president." Brown had never filed a statement of candidacy. Kathleen Browne
Kathleen Anne Browne (1 October 1876 – 9 October 1943) was an Irish politician, farmer, writer, historian and archaeologist. She was arrested after the Easter Rising and held in Kilmainham Gaol. During the Civil War, she was Pro-Treaty and joined Cumann na nGaedheal. She was a member of Seanad Éireann from 1929-36. She was a fluent speaker of Yola, an Anglic language of Wexford. Early life Browne was born on 1 October 1876 to Michael Browne, a farmer, shopkeeper and local politician, and Mary Eleanor Stafford. She was the eldest of five children. Her father's family was of Norman extraction and had lived at Rathcronan Castle since the 13th century. Her mother's family lived in Baldwinstown Castle, County Wexford. Kate Moore Brown
Kate Moore Brown (December 17, 1871 - March 28, 1945) was an American musician, clubwoman and traveler who lived in El Paso, Texas. Brown was one of the first graduates of El Paso High School. She was the first person to teach music in the public schools in Texas and El Paso and was the first woman to own a bicycle in El Paso. Brown is also one of the original creators of the El Paso International Museum which later became the El Paso Museum of Art. Biography Brown was born in Missouri on December 17, 1871. She was raised in Sherman, Texas where she took music lessons at the North Texas Female College. Brown's sister, Francis Moore, would later become a well-known pianist in New York. Katherine "Kate" Brown (1840–1883) was an employee of the United States Senate and the plaintiff in ''Railroad Company v. Brown'' (1873), a case decided by the United States Supreme Court. Catharine Brown (c. 1800 – July 18, 1823) was a Cherokee woman and missionary teacher at Brainerd Mission School. She was the mission’s first Cherokee convert to Christianity and the first Native American woman to see many of her writings extensively published in her lifetime.
