Cathedral Of San Carlos De Bariloche
The Cathedral of Our Lady of Nahuel Huapi ( es, Catedral de Nuestra Señora del Nahuel Huapi) Also San Carlos de Bariloche Cathedral is the main Catholic cathedral within the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, in Patagonia Argentina. It is located in large plot of land close to the Nahuel Huapi Lake, surrounded by beautiful gardens, and is within the Diocese of Bariloche, suffragan of the Archdiocese of BahÃa Blanca. For the construction of the cathedral of Bariloche, the architect Alejandro Bustillo offered his project for free. His sentiment was oriented in a Gothic Revival style with French reminiscences. It was built between 1942 and 1944. The stained glass windows were laid in 1947. San Carlos De Bariloche
San Carlos de Bariloche, usually known as Bariloche (), is a city in the province of RÃo Negro, Argentina, situated in the foothills of the Andes on the southern shores of Nahuel Huapi Lake. It is located within the Nahuel Huapi National Park. After development of extensive public works and Alpine-styled architecture, the city emerged in the 1930s and 1940s as a major tourism centre with skiing, trekking and mountaineering facilities. In addition, it has numerous restaurants, cafés, and chocolate shops. The city has a permanent population of 108,205 according to the 2010 census. According to the latest statistics from 2015, the population is around 122,700, and a projection for 2020 estimates 135,704. Nahuel Huapi Lake ( es, Lago Nahuel HuapÃ) is a lake in the lake region of northern Patagonia between the provinces of RÃo Negro Province, RÃo Negro and Neuquén Province, Neuquén, in Argentina. The tourist center of Bariloche is on the southern shore of the lake. The June 2011 Puyehue eruption, 2011 eruption of the Puyehue-Cordón Caulle volcanic complex, in neighboring Chile, caused parts of the lake's surface to be blanketed in volcanic ash. During the Last Glacial Maximum of the Llanquihue glaciation the lake basin was wholly occupied by a glacier.
