Initiated in 1997–98, the Castrol Awards for Cricketing Excellence recognizes outstanding performances by Indian cricketers - past, present and future. Mahendra Singh Dhoni
Mahendra Singh Dhoni (; born 7 July 1981) is an Indian former international cricketer who was captain of the Indian national cricket team in limited-overs formats from 2007 to 2017 and in Test cricket from 2008 to 2014. Unmukt Chand (born 26 March 1993) is an Indian-American cricketer. He is a right-handed top order batsman who currently plays for the Silicon Valley Strikers in Minor League Cricket, and the Melbourne Renegades in Australia's Big Bash League. Ajay Ratra
Ajay Ratra (born 13 December 1981) is a former Indian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and wicketkeeper. He made his ODI debut on Jan 19, 2002 against England. Ratra was selected in 2000 for the first intake of the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. When Ratra made an innings of 115 not out in 2002 against the West Indies, he was the youngest wicketkeeper to make a century in Tests, and first Indian wicketkeeper to make an overseas century. Vijay Hazare
Vijay Samuel Hazare (11 March 1915 – 18 December 2004) was an Indian cricketer. He captained India in 14 matches between 1951 and 1953. In India's 25th Test match, nearly 20 years after India achieved Test status, he led India to its first ever Test cricket win (and the only victory under his captaincy) in 1951–52 against England at Madras, winning by an innings and eight runs in a match that began on the day that King George VI died. Kapil Dev Ramlal Nikhanj (Pronunciation: əpiːl deːʋ born 6 January 1959) is an Indian former cricketer. Erapalli Anantharao Srinivas Prasanna (born 22 May 1940) is a former Indian cricket player. He was a spin bowler, specializing in off spin and a member of the Indian spin quartet. He is an alumnus of National Institute of Engineering, Mysore. Career Prasanna played his debut Test cricket match at Madras against England in 1961. His first overseas tour to the West Indies was a tough one and he did not play another Test for five years. He left the sport for a period to finish his engineering degree, returning in 1967.
