Carnevale Di Ronciglione
''Carnevale'' is an Italian word derived from the Latin expressions ''carnis'' (meaning meat or flesh; ablative: ''carne'') and "''levare''" (meaning remove). So "carnevale" means literally "remove meat". It refers to the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent, the traditional Christian period of 40 days before Easter, commemorating the 40 days Jesus fasted in the desert, which was a period of abstaining from meat and other pleasures of the flesh. So it was the day to get those last enjoyments in. "Mardi gras" (French for "Fat Tuesday") refers to the same day. Andrea Carnevale (; born 12 January 1961) is an Italian former footballer, who played as a forward. Club career After playing for various Italian teams, Carnevale enjoyed notable success with Napoli from 1986 to 1990, playing alongside Diego Maradona and Careca, and winning two Scudetti, one Coppa Italia, and an UEFA Cup. In 1990, he moved to Roma, but after 4 goals in his first five games he was suspended for a year for illegal drug use, alongside teammate Angelo Peruzzi. Roberto Carnevale (born 15 June 1966) is an Italian composer, pianist and conductor. Biography and career Born in Catania, he started studying piano at the age of seven. He took a degree in Arts at the University of Catania and he attended the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena. He studied under Roberto Bianco (piano), Franco Donatoni (composition), Salvatore Enrico Failla (musicology) and Ferdinand Leitner (conducting).
