Carlos Andrés Rodríguez Hernández (born 2 June 1996) is a Colombian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Categoría Primera A side Patriotas. Career Rodríguez was moved into Categoría Primera A side Patriotas' senior squad in 2016, at the beginning of the 2016 campaign. On 2 April, Rodríguez made his professional debut during a loss away to Santa Fe. The 2017 Categoría Primera A season (officially known as the 2017 Liga Águila season for sponsorship reasons) was the 70th season of Colombia's top-flight football league. Santa Fe were the defending champions having won the title in the 2016 season's Finalización tournament. The season started on 3 February and concluded on 17 December. In the Torneo Apertura, Atlético Nacional won its sixteenth title after beating Deportivo Cali in the finals, while in the Torneo Finalización Millonarios defeated crosstown rivals Santa Fe in the finals to win its fifteenth title. The 2017 Copa CONMEBOL Sudamericana was the 16th edition of the CONMEBOL Sudamericana (also referred to as the ''Copa Sudamericana'', or pt, Copa Sul-Americana), South America's secondary club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana, named as ''Copa Sudamericana'' (; pt, Copa Sul-Americana ), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 2002. It is the second-most prestigious club competition in South American football. CONCACAF clubs were invited between 2004 and 2008. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana began in 2002, replacing the separate competitions Copa Merconorte and Copa Mercosur (that had replaced Copa CONMEBOL) by a single competition. Patriotas Boyacá, also known as Patriotas, is a professional Colombian football team based in Tunja, that currently plays in the Categoría Primera B. They play their home games at the La Independencia stadium. History Patriotas was founded in 2003 by the then-governor of Boyacá Miguel Ángel Bermúdez, together with the then Coldeportes chairman and the owners of hardware business G&J. In its first year in the Primera B, the club reached the semifinals, where it was eliminated by Bogotá Chicó. In 2004 the team again advanced to the semifinals, where the team played against Deportivo Antioquia, Centauros Villavicencio and Expreso Rojo, but did not qualify.
