Carlos Armando Gruezo Quiñónez (born September 18, 1975 in Quinindé) is a retired football forward from Ecuador, who earned one cap for the Ecuador national team during his career. His only appearance came on 14 October 1998 when Ecuador lost 5–1 in a friendly against Brazil, and Gruezo was a second-half substitute for Ariel Graziani. He is the father of Carlos Armando Gruezo Arboleda. Club Deportivo Cuenca is an Ecuadorian football club based in Cuenca. They currently play in the Serie A, the top-flight football league in the country, and is one of two clubs from Cuenca to have played in the top-flight (the other being LDU Cuenca). Carlos Armando Gruezo Arboleda (; born 19 April 1995) is an Ecuadorian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Major League Soccer club San Jose Earthquakes and the Ecuador national team. He is the son of Carlos Armando Gruezo Quiñónez. He is described by FIFA's official website as "a technically adept holding midfielder and a precise passer of the ball". Club career Gruezo began his career with Independiente del Valle before joining Ecuadorian club Barcelona SC. Gruezo went on trial for VfB Stuttgart in their pre season friendlies in South Africa. On 30 January 2014, he signed a four-year contract with Stuttgart. Ariel José Graziani Lentini (born June 7, 1971) is a former football player. He is a naturalized Ecuadorian striker who represented the Ecuador national team on 34 occasions between 1997 and 2000. After retiring in Ecuador he is only able to play amateur football, he has chosen to play for Argentinian fifth-level club Atlético Empalme since May, 2007. Career Graziani has been a top goalscorer for practically every team for which he has played. He made his professional debut in 1993 with Newell's Old Boys of Argentina, where he was a teammate with Diego Maradona until he transferred later that year to Sport Boys of the Peruvian First Division.
