Daniele Matteo Alvise Barbaro (also Barbarus) (8 February 1514 – 13 April 1570) was an Italian cleric and diplomat. He was also an architect, writer on architecture, and translator of, and commentator on, Vitruvius. Barbaro's fame is chiefly due to his vast output in the arts, letters, and mathematics. Girolamo di Corregio (1511–1572) was an Italian Roman Catholic cardinal and bishop. Biography Girolamo di Corregio was born in Correggio, Emilia-Romagna in 1511, the son of Giberto X, Count of Correggio and his wife Veronica Gambara. Bernardo Navagero
Bernardo Navagero (Venice 1507 – 13 April 1565 Verona) was a Venetian ambassador and a cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. Life Venetian patrician, son of Gianluigi Navagero and Lucrezia Agostini, he studied at the University of Padua. He married Istriana Lando, granddaughter of the doge Pietro Lando, but she died young. He was Venetian resident ambassador at the courts of emperor Charles V (1543–46), Suleiman the Magnificent (1550-52) and pope Paul IV (1555–58), and he attended the Council of Ten (1552). On 26 February 1561 he was named cardinal by pope Pius IV, and he was bishop of Verona from 1562 until his death. In 1563 he was ''legatus a latere'' at the council of Trent. Francisco Pacheco De Toledo
Francisco Pacheco de Toledo (1508 – 23 August 1579) was a Spanish Cardinal (Catholic Church), cardinal. Life Pacheco was born in Ciudad Rodrigo. He was admitted to the court of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, Charles V and Philip II of Spain. In 1545 he joined his uncle, cardinal Pedro Pacheco de Villena, on a trip to Rome, where the younger man won the admiration of pope Julius III, who made him a canon of Salamanca. He was also a canon at Toledo, Spain, Toledo and inquisitor general of Spain. He was made a cardinal on 26 February 1561 by pope Pius IV and later served as apostolic legate to Milan, before being elected bishop of Burgos in 1567 - during his time in that diocese it was promoted to an archdiocese, in 1574. Biography Pier Francesco Ferrero was born in Biella in 1506, the son of Goffredo Ferrero, marquis of Bordolano, and his second wife Margherita Sanseverino, marchioness of Bordolano. Stanislaus Hosius
Stanislaus Hosius ( pl, Stanisław Hozjusz; 5 May 1504 – 5 August 1579) was a Polish Roman Catholic cardinal. From 1551 he was the Prince-Bishop of the Bishopric of Warmia in Royal Prussia and from 1558 he served as the papal legate to the Holy Roman Emperor's Imperial Court in Vienna, Austria.
