Caravan Of Courage (series)
Caravan of Courage is an annual road trip, travelled by Australian comedians Hamish Blake and Andy Lee (comedian), Andy Lee. There have been a total of four road trips, the latest two being both aired on their radio show and combined into a television special, and the first two broadcast as a segment on the talk show ''Rove (TV series), Rove''. Format Every Caravan of Courage takes two weeks to complete. It sees Hamish and Andy travel across numerous states or countries and meet people along the way and participate in numerous activities. The caravan is usually named; the American caravan was named Abraham Lincoln, Abravan Lincoln and the Great Britain and Ireland caravan was named Lancelot, Sir Vancealot. While visiting numerous tourist attractions, Hamish and Andy take unusual routes through the smaller towns, for example in 2009, skipping the inner states of the US. Hamish Blake
Hamish Donald Blake (born 11 December 1981) is an Australian comedian, television and radio presenter, actor and author. Since 2003, he has worked with Andy Lee as part of the comedy duo Hamish and Andy. The pair have performed live and on television and radio, most notably with their drive-time radio program ''Hamish & Andy''. As a solo performer, Blake has appeared on various Australian television programs, including the Melbourne International Comedy Festival's televised 2008 Great Debate, and has been a regular guest on '' Spicks and Specks'', ''Rove'' and ''Thank God You're Here''. In April 2012, Blake and Lee won a Logie Award for their television program ''Hamish and Andy's Gap Year''. Norseman, Western Australia
Norseman is a town located in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia along the Coolgardie-Esperance Highway, east of Perth and above sea level. It is also the starting point of the Eyre Highway, and the last major town in Western Australia before the South Australian border to the east. At the 2021 census, Norseman had a population of 562, of which 17% were Australian Aboriginal. History The quest for gold led to the establishment of Norseman, on the traditional land of the Ngadju. Today there are a number of small goldmining operations in the area but only the Central Norseman Gold Corporation can be considered a major producer. Roxby Downs, South Australia
Roxby Downs is a town and locality in the Australian state of South Australia about north of the state capital of Adelaide. The town has a highly transient population of around 4,000 people. Roxby Downs has many leisure and community facilities including swimming, cinema, cultural precinct, community radio, shopping centre, schools, TAFE, cafes and sporting clubs and facilities. There are just two neighbouring towns in the area: Andamooka, an opal mining town about 30 km to the east, and Woomera, 84 km south of Roxby Downs. Hawker, South Australia
Hawker is a town and a locality in the Flinders Ranges area of South Australia, north of Adelaide. It is in the Flinders Ranges Council, the state Electoral district of Stuart and the federal Division of Grey. At the 2016 census, the locality had a population of 341 of which 237 lived in its town centre. History The town was surveyed during March 1880 and was proclaimed on 1 July 1880. It was named after G. C. Hawker who was a member of the South Australian Parliament for the years 1858–1865 and 1875–1883. Williamstown, South Australia
Williamstown is a small South Australian town on the southern fringe of the Barossa Valley wine-growing region. It is 51 km north east of Adelaide and 16 km south-east of Gawler. Bulahdelah is a town and locality in the Hunter/Mid North Coast region of New South Wales, Australia in the Mid-Coast Council local government area. Benalla is a small city located on the Broken River gateway to the High Country north-eastern region of Victoria, Australia, about north east of the state capital Melbourne. Donald is a town in Victoria, Australia, located on the Richardson River, at the junction of Sunraysia Highway and Borung Highway, in the Shire of Buloke. At the , it had a population of 1,472.
