	Canton Of Saverne The canton of Saverne is an administrative division of the Bas-Rhin department, northeastern France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Saverne. 	Haegen Haegen (; ) is a commune in the Bas-Rhin department in Grand Est in north-eastern France. Population Geography Haegen is a mountain village located on the western frontier of Alsace which at this point coincides with the western frontier of the Alemanish dialect area. Across the Vosges Mountains to the west of the commune is Lorraine. On the Alsace side, neighbouring communes are Saverne and Gottenhouse to the north-east, and Thal-Marmoutier and Reinhardsmunster to the south-east. Landmarks The commune contains the ruined remains of a twelfth-century castle, one of the earliest surviving castles in the North Vosges region, and of a fourteenth-century smaller fortress. These are known as the Château du Grand-Geroldseck and the Château du Petit-Geroldseck. 	Marmoutier :''See Marmoutier Abbey (Tours) for the former abbey in Tours.'' Marmoutier (; ) is a commune in the Bas-Rhin département in Grand Est in north-eastern France. The origin of the place is the former Marmoutier Abbey, of which the abbey church still serves as the parish church. History In 590 St. Leonhard, a disciple of Columbanus, founded a benedictine monastery which later was named after the abbot Maurus who modified it in the 12th century imitating the style of Hirsau. The church dates from this time. Above all the cloister flourished during the 14th century. In 1792 it disintegrated during the French Revolution. Jacob Frey, a writer, lived in Marmoutier from 1545 as town chronicler and notary. Sights The church of Marmoutier Abbey from the 11th century holds a pipe organ by the organ builder Andreas Silbermann. 	Landersheim Landersheim is a commune in the Bas-Rhin department in Grand Est in north-eastern France. Geography Surrounding communes are Saessolsheim and Rohr to the north-west, Willgottheim in the south-east, Zeinheim and Westhouse-Marmoutier to the south-west with Maennolsheim and Friedolsheim in the north-west. Outside the village, much of the commune is devoted to arable agriculture. The commune contains some important employers as a result of which it employs far more people than the number of its residents: there is significant industrial and service sector employment. 	Kleingœft Kleingœft () is a commune in the Bas-Rhin department in Grand Est in north-eastern France. Geography Surrounding communes are Wolschheim and Maennolsheim to the northeast; Westhouse-Marmoutier to the southeast; and Lochwiller to the west. Landmarks Chapel of Betbur :Constructed in the twelfth century, the chapel was originally the parish church of Betbur. Betbur was destroyed during or before the German Peasants' War, and a new village was constructed nearby on the site of what is now known as Kleingœft. 	Jetterswiller Jetterswiller () is a commune (township) in the Bas-Rhin department in Grand Est in north-eastern France. Geography The village is the meeting point of several minor roads: to the west of the village the main road connecting Saverne and Molsheim is within walking distance.
