Locronan (; br, Lokorn) is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in north-western France, with a population of 800. Locronan is a member of the ''Les Plus Beaux Villages de France'' ("The most beautiful villages of France") association. Toponymy The village's name means the "hermitage of Ronan", from the Breton ''lok'' which means hermitage, and after the eponymous founder Saint Ronan. Plogonnec
Plogonnec (; ) is a commune and small town in the Finistère department of Brittany in north-western France. It is about north west of Quimper and east of Douarnenez. The town is twinned with Llandysul in Wales. Geography The town is situated in a hilly area about inland from the fishing port of Douarnenez. Quimper is about to the south east and the N165 Brest to Nantes trunk road lies between Plogonnec and Quimper.
