Canton Of Plancoët
The canton of Plancoët is an administrative division of the Côtes-d'Armor department, northwestern France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Plancoët. Cantons Of France
The cantons of France are territorial subdivisions of the France, French Republic's Departments of France, departments and Arrondissements of France, arrondissements. Apart from their role as organizational units in relation to certain aspects of the administration of public services and justice, the chief purpose of the cantons today is to serve as Constituency, constituencies for the election of members of the representative assemblies established in each of France's territorial departments (Departmental council (France), departmental councils, formerly general councils). Saint-Maudez
Saint-Maudez (; br, Sant-Maodez) is a commune in the Côtes-d'Armor department of Brittany in northwestern France. It is named after the Breton Saint Maudez. History St. Maudez is the tenth son of the King of Ireland Erelus (or Erelea or Ardea) and Gentuse or Getive, his wife. Saint-Maudez landed in Brittany, around 528, not far from Dol, with his sister Saint Juvette and two disciples, Saint Botmel and Saint Tudy. Pléven
Pléven (; ) is a commune in the Côtes-d'Armor department of Brittany in northwestern France, 70km north west of Rennes. The Arguenon river flows through the commune. Notable buildings The parish church is dedicated to St Pierre. The Manoir du Vaumadeuc dates from the 15th century, and was built by Madeuc, lord of Guémadeuc. In the 18th century it was acquired by Joseph-Marie-François de Talhouèt, Comte de Sévérac. After the French Revolution, François Tresvaux du Fraval, a Priest Canon of Paris, had his library at the Manor. In the 20th century the Manor passed to the family of the Vicomte de Pontbriand.
