The canton of Le Lézignanais (before 2015: ''canton of Lézignan-Corbières'') is an administrative division of the Aude department, southern France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Lézignan-Corbières. The cantons of France are territorial subdivisions of the France, French Republic's Departments of France, departments and Arrondissements of France, arrondissements. Lézignan-Corbières (; ) is a commune in the Aude department in the Occitanie region in southern France. Situated in the Corbières wine region not far from Narbonne, it has a Vine and Wine Museum (''Musée de la Vigne et du Vin''). Geography The river Orbieu flows northeast through the southeastern part of the commune and forms part of its eastern border. Lézignan-Corbières station has rail connections to Toulouse, Carcassonne and Narbonne. Argens-Minervois
Argens-Minervois is a commune in the Aude department in the Occitanie region of southern France. The inhabitants of the commune are known as ''Argenais'' or ''Argenaises'' Geography Argens-Minervois is located some 20 km west by south-west of Capestang and 6 km north of Lézignan-Corbières. The northern border of the commune is also the border between Aude and Hérault. Access to the commune is by the D124 road from Roubia in the east which passes through the village and continues along the bank of the Canal du Midi to join the D11 north-east of the commune. The commune is forested in the north with a large reservoir in the centre feeding the Canal du-Midi. The rest of the commune is farmland. Castelnau-d'Aude
Castelnau-d'Aude (; oc, Castèlnòu d'Aude) is a commune in the Aude department in southern France. Location The village is equidistant between the cities of Carcassonne and Narbonne in the shadow of the Black Mountains and surrounded by vineyards. A rural paradise, the village remains undiscovered by many from outside the region. Winemaking The production of wine has gone on in this area of France for centuries, and the village is surrounded by a fantastic vista of grape vines which positively glow in the extraordinary golden light for which this region is famed. Escales
Escales (; oc, Escalas) is a commune in the Aude department in southern France, principally involved in viticulture. Geography Escales lies in the northernmost part of the Corbières AOC wine growing area 30 km from Narbonne to the east, and 30 km from Carcassonne to the west. Population Economy Escales benefits greatly from its wine. It has a small factory called 'Le Progres' which joined forces with a neighbouring factory in Tourouzelle in 2006 to manufacture red, white and rose wines. The factory was built in 1933 when 133 local winegrowers produced 10,210 hectolitres of wine. Personalities Achille Mir, an Occitan poet of note lived in the village between 1801-1879.
