The cantons of France are territorial subdivisions of the France, French Republic's Departments of France, departments and Arrondissements of France, arrondissements. Apart from their role as organizational units in relation to certain aspects of the administration of public services and justice, the chief purpose of the cantons today is to serve as Constituency, constituencies for the election of members of the representative assemblies established in each of France's territorial departments (Departmental council (France), departmental councils, formerly general councils). Le Bourget-du-Lac
Le Bourget-du-Lac (, literally ''Le Bourget of the Lake'') or frp, Le Borgèt-du-Lècis a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in eastern/south-eastern France. It lies near the Lac du Bourget and from Chambéry. Climate Le Bourget-du-Lac is right on the boundary between a mid-latitude, four seasons humid subtropical climate (Cfa) and an oceanic climate (Cfb) under the Köppen system. In spite of this, it is highly influenced by its interior position within France, near several mountain ranges, resulting in quite hot summers and winters with frequent temperatures below freezing, especially at night.
