Canoeing At The 2012 Summer Olympics – Men's Slalom K-1
The men's canoe slalom K-1 competition at the 2012 Olympic Games in London took place between 29 July and 1 August at the Lee Valley White Water Centre. Lee Valley White Water Centre
Lee Valley White Water Centre (previously known as Broxbourne White Water Canoe Centre) is a white-water slalom centre, that was constructed to host the whitewater slalom, canoe slalom events of the 2012 Summer Olympics, London 2012 Olympic Games. On 9 December 2010, Anne, Princess Royal officially opened the venue which is owned by Lee Valley Regional Park Authority and was orginally managed by them as well, but since April 1st 2022, is now managed by Greenwich Leisure Limited (GLL) under its "Better" brand. is a Japanese slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2006. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, he was eliminated in the qualifying round of the K1 event finishing in 18th place. Michael Tayler (born February 6, 1992) is a Canadian slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2008. Tayler competed at three Summer Olympics. His first Olympic appearance came at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the K1 event, finishing in 20th place after being eliminated in the heats. He beat former world champion David Ford to earn the Canadian spot at the 2012 Olympics. In July 2016, he was officially named to Canada's Olympic team for the second time. He finished in 16th place in the K1 event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Hermann Ludwig Husslein (born 12 September 1985) is a Thai slalom canoeist who competes in the K-1 event. He won a bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games, placing fourth in 2010 and 2014. Eoin Rheinisch (born 21 February 1980 in Dublin) is an Irish slalom canoeist and three-time Olympic competitor. He competed at the international level from 1996 to 2013. He is from Leixlip, County Kildare. Olympic record Rheinisch competed at the Summer Olympic Games in 2004, 2008 and 2012. Michael "Mike" Kurt (born 2 April 1980) is a Swiss slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 1996 to 2016.
