Cannabis In Poland
Possession of most drugs for recreational use, including cannabis, is illegal in Poland. It was classified as a narcotic in 1951 but it was not until 1997 that possession and use of the drug became a crime. Since 2011, prosecutors have the discretion to drop the charges if the quantity of drugs seized is only a small amount. The medical use of cannabis was legalized in 2018. History Like in most countries, cannabis spread to Poland naturally, several thousand years ago. It has been cultivated for most of the last millennium. Similarly, until the early 20th century it was a legal substance, used in medicine and recreation. Criminalization The Second Polish Republic was one of the signatories to the 1925 International Opium Convention, which entered into force in 1928, which imposed some restrictions on the trade and production of cannabis and related goods. Winogrady Lech PST
Winogrady is a part of the Stare Miasto district of the city of Poznań in western Poland. It is situated north of the ''Cytadela'' park (the former Poznań citadel). The name refers to the vineyards which formerly existed in the area – historically there were two villages there called Winiary (although "Winiary" today refers to a neighbourhood in Jeżyce district, to which the inhabitants were moved when the citadel fortifications were built in the 1830s). The southern part of Winogrady, between the streets ''ul. Winogrady'' and ''ul. Słowiańska'', consists mainly of houses, although there are also some apartment blocks (including the "Batman" development, named for its black colour) and student halls of residence. Magdalena Cielecka (born 20 February 1972) is a Polish actress. Life and career Cielecka spent her childhood in the small town of Żarki-Letnisko. In 1995, she graduated from Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Teatralna in Kraków. Soon after, she joined the Teatr Stary Theatre Company in Kraków, where she stayed until 2001, when she moved to Warsaw and joined the Teatr Rozmaitości Theatre Company. ''Cannabis'' () is a genus of flowering plants in the family Cannabaceae. The number of species within the genus is disputed. Piotr Krzysztof Liroy-Marzec (born July 12, 1971, in Busko Zdrój, Poland as Piotr Krzysztof Marzec), better known as Liroy (Leeroy), is a Polish rapper and politician. He is one of the pioneers of rap and hip-hop culture in Poland. Jerzy Adam Gracjan Vetulani (; 21 January 1936 – 6 April 2017) was a Polish neuroscientist, pharmacologist and biochemist, professor of natural sciences, member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Academy of Learning, one of the most frequently cited Polish scientists in the field of biomedicine after 1965. Jerzy Pilch (; 10 August 1952 – 29 May 2020) was a Polish writer, columnist, and journalist. Critics have compared Pilch's style to Witold Gombrowicz, Milan Kundera, or Bohumil Hrabal. Tomasz Sikora (born 21 December 1973) is a former Polish biathlete. Life and career Sikora was born in Wodzisław Śląski. In 1993, he finished second in 10 km sprint at the Junior World Championships in Ruhpolding. He was world champion in 1995 (20 km), runner-up in the world championships in 2004 (also 20 km) and bronze medalist in 1997 (team competition). On 25 February 2006 he was placed second in the 15 km mass start at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, winning the second and final medal for Poland in those Olympics.
