Lloyd Robertson (born January 19, 1934) is a Canadian journalist and former news anchor who is special correspondent on CTV's weekly magazine series, '' W5''. Robertson served as the chief anchor and senior editor of CTV's national evening newscast, '' CTV News with Lloyd Robertson,'' until September 2011, when he retired from the ''CTV National News'' team. He co-hosted ''W5'' from 2011 to 2016. ''Canadian Film Makers'' is a Canadian short film television series which aired on CBC Television in 1974. Premise Like its namesake CBC series in 1967, ''Canadian Film Makers'' presented various short films during its run. This time, films were solely from independent producers and excluded content from production companies such as the National Film Board of Canada. The CBC paid the producers $3000–3500 per half-hour of film chosen from submitted entries, which were to meet legal and technical requirements. Scheduling This half-hour series was broadcast Sundays at 2:30 p.m. (Eastern) from 6 January to 31 March 1974. Arthur Lipsett
Arthur Lipsett (May 13, 1936 – May 1, 1986) was a Canadian avant-garde director of short collage films. Life and career Born in Montreal into a Jewish family, Lipsett saw his mother, an immigrant from Kiev, commit suicide when he was 10 years of age. His father remarried without consulting Arthur and his daughter, Marian. Despite his difficult past, Lipsett excelled as a student at the École des beaux-arts de Montréal, where his mentor, Arthur Lismer, recommended him to the National Film Board of Canada (NFB). Lipsett joined the NFB in 1958 as an editor. Lipsett's particular passion was sound. He collected pieces of sound from a variety of sources and fit them together to create an interesting auditory sensation. Jacques Godbout, OC, CQ (born November 27, 1933) is a Canadian novelist, essayist, children's writer, journalist, filmmaker and poet. By his own admission a bit of a dabbler (''touche-à-tout''), Godbout has become one of the most important writers of his generation, with a major influence on post-1960 Quebec intellectual life. Claude Fournier (born July 23, 1931 in Waterloo, Quebec) is a Canadian film director, screenwriter, editor and cinematographer. He is one of the forerunners of the Cinema of Quebec. He is the twin brother of Guy Fournier. Career Claude Fournier began his career in journalism then moved to the Radio-Canada as a news cameraman.
