The Campeonato Uruguayo Federal de Básquetbol (CFB) (English: Uruguayan Federal Basketball Championship) was the top-tier level men's basketball national club competition in Uruguay. It was organized by the Uruguayan Basketball Federation (FUBB). It existed from 1915 to 2003, when it was replaced by the newly formed Liga Uruguaya de Básquetbol (LUB) (Uruguayan Basketball League). The worst performing teams of each season of the competition were relegated down to the second-tier level Segunda de Ascenso (Second of Ascent), which itself was replaced by the Torneo Metropolitano (Metropolitan Tournament), in 2004. Club Atlético Welcome or simply Welcome is an Uruguayan basketball club in Montevideo, member of the Uruguayan Basketball Federation. It was founded on 13 October 1926. ''Welcome'', recently promoted to the Uruguayan Basketball League (LUB) getting the second direct ascent in 2014. Club Trouville is a multi-sport club based in Montevideo, Uruguay. The club is mainly known for its professional basketball section, which plays in the Liga Uruguaya de Básquetbol, the first level of Uruguayan basketball. Other sports practiced are rugby union and association football. History The club has uncertain origins: its foundation date of April 1, 1922 was established during a meeting among club associates in 1954 after internal research. It owns its name to ''Plaza Trouville'', a square in the Pocitos neighbourhood of Montevideo. The club was affiliated to the Uruguayan Basketball Federation in 1928, and was first promoted to the top level in 1931; in 1945 the team won the ''Federal'' championship.
