The Campeonato Pernambucano is the top-flight professional state football league in the Brazilian state of Pernambuco. It is run by the Pernambuco Football Federation (FPF). History The first edition of the Campeonato Pernambucano was played in 1915, and was won by Flamengo de Recife, a defunct club. In 1936, Tramways became undefeated state champions with a team made up of players who were paid a salary. This led to significant changes in the structure of football in Pernambuco, heralding the definitive transition from amateurism to professionalism. The following season, Central's defender Zago became the first player to be registered as a professional by the Pernambuco Sports Federation, marking the official start of professionalism in the state. Clube Náutico Capibaribe
Clube Náutico Capibaribe (), or simply Náutico, is a Football in Brazil, Brazilian Sports club, multi-sport club based in Recife, Pernambuco. 2013 Campeonato Pernambucano
The 2013 Campeonato Pernambucano, named Pernambucano Coca-Cola 2013 - Série A1 for sponsorship reasons, was the 99th edition of the state championship of Pernambuco. With the return of Copa do Nordeste in 2013 and the participation of three teams from the state ( Santa Cruz, Sport and Salgueiro), the formula of this edition was not the same as the previous championship. The competition is started on January 20 and concluded on May 19. Santa Cruz won their 27th championship, with Sport as runner-up. Petrolina and Belo Jardim were relegated to the second division of Campeonato Pernambucano. Format In the first stage, the championship will be played in two rounds. The 2010 Campeonato Pernambucano was the 96th edition of the top professional football league in Pernambuco, Brazil. Organized by the Pernambuco Football Federation, the competition ran from January 13, 2010, to May 2, 2010. It featured clubs from across the state in a format that included a first round and knockout stages. Sport won the championship title. Format Série A1 (A1 Series) The ''Campeonato Pernambucano'' is divided into two rounds: ''Taça Revolução Constitucionalista de 1817'' (''1817 Constitutionalist Revolution Cup'') and ''Taça Confederação do Equador'' (''Confederation of the Equator Cup''). Central Sport Club, usually known simply as Central, is a Brazilian football club. Based in Caruaru, Pernambuco state, the club competes in the Série D.
