Campeonato Nacional De Juvenis
Campeonato Nacional de Juniores B/Juvenis is the top level of the Portuguese football league system for youth players 17-year-old and under. It is administrated by the Portuguese Football Federation. The league started in 1962 and has been historically dominated by the Big Three clubs. Format The Campeonato Nacional de Juvenis begins in mid-August and ends in June. The Nacional de Juvenis season is played in three phases. In the first phase there are four regional groups of twelve teams. The top four teams of each group qualify to one of two the second phase Apuramento de Campeão groups. There are two groups composed of eight teams, North and South. The Portuguese football league system consists of several leagues bound together hierarchically by promotion and relegation. Reserve teams are allowed to compete in the main league system, as is the case with most of Europe. However, they are not allowed to compete in the same tier as their senior team, thus no reserve team has ever competed in Portugal's top flight, the Primeira Liga. Big Three (Portugal)
The Big Three ( pt, Os Três Grandes) is the nickname of the three most successful and biggest football clubs in Portugal. The teams of S.L. Benfica and Sporting CP, both from Lisbon, and of FC Porto, from Porto, have a great rivalry and are usually the main contenders for the Primeira Liga title. They share all but two of the Portuguese Football Championships ever played, and generally end up sharing the top three positions. None of them have been relegated from the Primeira Liga either, having been participants in all editions since its first season in 1934–35. FC Porto Juniors
Futebol Clube do Porto "Juniors" ( pt, Juniores), commonly known as Porto Juniors, is the under-19 football team comprised in the youth department of Portuguese club FC Porto. Based in Olival and Crestuma, two local civil parishes part of the Vila Nova de Gaia municipality, they hold home matches at the club's training complex, CTFD PortoGaia. Domestically, Porto have won 23 Campeonato Nacional de Juniores titles. Internationally, they won the Blue Stars/FIFA Youth Cup in 2011 and the UEFA Youth League in 2019.
