Campeonato Nacional de Juniores C/Iniciados is the top level of the Portuguese football league system for youth players 15-year-old and under. The Portuguese football league system consists of several leagues bound together hierarchically by promotion and relegation. Reserve teams are allowed to compete in the main league system, as is the case with most of Europe. However, they are not allowed to compete in the same tier as their senior team, thus no reserve team has ever competed in Portugal's top flight, the Primeira Liga. Portuguese Football Federation
The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) ( pt, Federação Portuguesa de Futebol; ) is the governing body of football in Portugal. The federation was formed in 1914 as Portuguese Football Union (UPF) by the three existing regional associations of Lisbon, Portalegre and Porto, before adopting its current name in 1926, and is based in the city of Oeiras. Big Three (Portugal)
The Big Three ( pt, Os Três Grandes) is the nickname of the three most successful and biggest football clubs in Portugal. The teams of S.L. Benfica and Sporting CP, both from Lisbon, and of FC Porto, from Porto, have a great rivalry and are usually the main contenders for the Primeira Liga title. They share all but two of the Portuguese Football Championships ever played, and generally end up sharing the top three positions. None of them have been relegated from the Primeira Liga either, having been participants in all editions since its first season in 1934–35. FC Porto Juniors
Futebol Clube do Porto "Juniors" ( pt, Juniores), commonly known as Porto Juniors, is the under-19 football team comprised in the youth department of Portuguese club FC Porto. Based in Olival and Crestuma, two local civil parishes part of the Vila Nova de Gaia municipality, they hold home matches at the club's training complex, CTFD PortoGaia. Domestically, Porto have won 23 Campeonato Nacional de Juniores titles. Internationally, they won the Blue Stars/FIFA Youth Cup in 2011 and the UEFA Youth League in 2019.
