The Camp OlÃmpic de Tir amb Arc ( en, Olympic Archery Field) was a temporary venue located in Barcelona. It hosted the Archery at the 1992 Summer Olympics, archery competitions for the 1992 Summer Olympics. It was located in a site at the B20 motorway (Spain), Ronda de Dalt, next to the Pavelló de la Vall d'Hebron, in the Barcelona district of Horta-Guinardó. Horta-Guinardó () is the name of one of the districts of Barcelona, located in its North-Eastern corner. It is named after two very heterogeneous areas of the city, Horta and el Guinardó, which together cover a large area of 11.92 km², amounting to 11.9% of the total area of the city. For the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, a total of forty-three sports venues were used. Barcelona's first bid for the Summer Olympics was the 1924 Games, losing to Paris. The city tried again in 1936, losing to Berlin. The city subsequently planned to host the People's Olympiad in that year, as a protest against holding the Olympics in Nazi Germany, but were forced to cancel the event because of the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War. Following their success of hosting the Mediterranean Games in 1955, Barcelona would try again to host the Summer Olympics, this time seeking the 1972 Games and losing out to Munich.
