Cameron Lawrence (American Football)
Cameron Aaron Lawrence (born January 20, 1991) is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at Mississippi State University. Early years Lawrence attended Magnolia Heights High School, where he was a two-way player at quarterback, linebacker and defensive back. As a sophomore, he helped the school win a state title. As a junior, he tallied 1,854 yards, 26 touchdowns, 138 tackles and 4 interceptions. As a senior, he was selected to the All-state second-team at linebacker and to the Mississippi Association of Private Schools All-star team. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. Safety is a position in gridiron football on the defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety and the strong safety. Their duties depend on the defensive scheme. In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style.
