Calum MacGregor
Calum MacGregor (born 11 January 1962) is a former rugby union player and is now a director at Müller Wiseman Dairies. Born in Scotland, he played for the Glasgow District side, and after professionalism was sanctioned in rugby played for Glasgow, now named the Glasgow Warriors. Rugby Union career Amateur career MacGregor started his rugby career with Glasgow Academicals but moved to Aberdeen in 1983 for work. He then played for Gordonians RFC for a year before commuting to Boroughmuir RFC for three years. He then moved again and returned to Glasgow Academicals. In a derby match against Glasgow High Kelvinside in 1989 he scored 17 points in a 21-13 win for the Academicals. By 1995, the side were playing in Division 3 but MacGregor was still scoring points for the club and he was still getting selected for Glasgow District. Glasgow Academicals RFC
The Glasgow Academical Football Club is the third oldest rugby football club in Scotland. The club was also a founder member of the Scottish Football Union (the future SRU) in 1873. History Glasgow Hawks In 1997 the decision was made to combine the first XV's of Glasgow Academicals and close rivals Glasgow High Kelvinside (themselves a fairly new club having been formed when the struggling Glasgow High FP and Kelvinside Academicals clubs combined in 1982), something that was predicted would happen only after "hell freezes over". The combined team was named the Glasgow Hawks. The Hawks won the second division championship and the Scottish Cup in their first year and have since continued in the first division - winning the league in 2004, 2005 and 2006, and the Cup again in 2004 and 2007. Sale Sharks
Sale Sharks is a professional rugby union club from Greater Manchester, England. They play in Premiership Rugby, England's top division of rugby. Originally founded in 1861 as Sale Football Club, now a distinct amateur club, they adopted the nickname Sharks in 1999. Since 2012 they have played their home games at the A.J. Bell Stadium in Barton-upon-Irwell, Salford. Between 1905 and 2003 they played at Heywood Road in Sale, before moving to Edgeley Park in Stockport where they stayed until 2012. Gordonians RFC are a rugby union team based in Aberdeen, Scotland founded in 1923. They take their name from the fact that they were originally the former pupils club for Robert Gordon's College in the city. Ian McGeechan
Sir Ian Robert McGeechan, OBE (born 30 October 1946) is a retired Scottish rugby union player, coach and teacher. Born in Leeds, McGeechan represented Headingley as his only club during a 15-year club career, qualifying for Scotland through his father he played 32 times internationally for Scotland over 7 years and won 8 caps on two tours for the British & Irish Lions. During his playing career he worked as a teacher. Upon retiring from player McGeechan began coaching, in a career spanning 26 years he coached the most recent Scottish side to win a grandslam in the 1990 Five Nations Championship, and won Premiership Rugby & the European Cup with London Wasps in 2008 & 2007. Kevin Michael Greene (born 31 December 1949) is a former New Zealand rugby union player and coach. He was the first coach of Glasgow Warriors, when the Glasgow District (rugby union), Glasgow District side professionalised in 1996.
