California's 8th State Senate district is one of 40 California State Senate districts. It is currently represented by Angelique Ashby of Sacramento. Jeremiah Lynch
Jeremiah Christopher Lynch (10 January 1878 – 9 November 1950) was an Irish revolutionary from County Cork who was a member of the Irish Republican Brotherhood and became a Sinn Féin TD in the First Dáil. A skilled organiser, he was prominent in Irish American organisations in the United States, where he spent many years. Early life Lynch was born in Granig, Tracton, County Cork, to Timothy Lynch, a farmer, and Hannah Dunlea. The California Citizens Redistricting Commission is the redistricting commission for the California, State of California responsible for determining the boundaries of districts for the California State Senate, State Senate, California State Assembly, State Assembly, and State Board of Equalization (California), Board of Equalization. The commission was created in 2010 and consists of 14 members: five Democratic Party (United States), Democrats, five Republican Party (United States), Republicans, and four from neither major party.
