''Cake'' is an American live-action/adult animated anthology television series that premiered on FXX on September 25, 2019. The series features an assortment of short-form comedy. The second season premiered on March 5, 2020. The third season premiered on July 9, 2020. The fourth season premiered on March 11, 2021. The fifth season premiered on September 30, 2021. Premise The episodes of the series consists of multiple short segments, both live action and animated. Each episode contains a season length "anchor" miniseries with various other shorts filling out the remaining time. The first season has been described by the creator as similar in tone to ''500 Days of Summer'' with the second season having a more traditional comedy vibe. Poorly Drawn Lines (PDL) is a webcomic created by cartoonist Reza Farazmand. It features mostly standalone comic strips that range from just one frame to many, most of which are satirical or absurdist in tone. The topic of each strip varies, with recurring themes including space travel, supernatural occurrences, science fiction, friendship, and existentialism. Most strips are conclusive and able to be read without any previous knowledge of storyline; however, the comic also contains some ongoing story arcs, along with recurring characters such as Ernesto, a green bear who lives in outer space. David Thomas Rees ( ; born June 22, 1972) is a humorist and cultural critic. He first rose to prominence as a cartoonist whose best-known work combined bland clip art with "trash talk". Rees later created an artisanal pencil sharpening service and published a related book on the subject. He co-created and hosted two seasons of the television series '' Going Deep with David Rees''. A symphony is an extended musical composition in Western classical music, most often for orchestra. Although the term has had many meanings from its origins in the ancient Greek era, by the late 18th century the word had taken on the meaning common today: a work usually consisting of multiple distinct sections or movements, often four, with the first movement in sonata form.
