Cabinet Of Sudan
The Cabinet of Sudan usually refers to the chief executive body of the Republic of the Sudan. The Cabinet was dissolved following the 11 April 2019 Sudanese coup d'état. Chapter 5 of the August 2019 Draft Constitutional Declaration defines the procedures which led to the nomination of Abdalla Hamdok as Prime Minister, and up to 20 Ministers in the Cabinet, during late August 2019, for the 39-month democratic transition. The Sudanese Women's Union protested against this. Under Article 19 of the Draft Constitutional Declaration, the ministers of the Transitional Cabinet are ineligible to run in the election scheduled to follow the transition period. 2019–2022 Transitional Cabinet Background The 2018–19 Sudanese protests led to the 11 April 2019 Sudanese coup d'état which overthrew President Omar al-Bashir and dissolved his Cabinet. The Executive, also referred as the Executive branch or Executive power, is the term commonly used to describe that part of government which enforces the law, and has overall responsibility for the governance of a state. In political systems based on the separation of powers, such as the USA, government authority is distributed between several branches in order to prevent power being concentrated in the hands of a single person or group. Lena el-Sheikh Omer Majhoub (also: ''Lina'', ''al-Sheikh'', ''Elsheikh'') became the Sudanese Minister of Labour (or Welfare) and Social Development in early September 2019 in the Transitional Cabinet of Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, during the 2019 Sudanese transition to democracy. Gibril Ibrahim
Dr. Gibril Ibrahim Mohammed ( ar, جبريل إبراهيم محمد) is a Sudanese politician. He is the leader of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM). He was chosen to replace his brother, Khalil, on 26 January 2012, after Khalil's death in a SAF airstrike in Northern Kordofan in December 2011. He recently allied with SAF. Mariam Al-Mahdi
Mariam al-Sadiq al-Mahdi ( ar, مريم الصادق المهدي; born 1965) is a Sudanese politician, the leader of the National Umma Party, and the Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs since 11 February 2021. She is the daughter of Sadiq al-Mahdi, an opposition leader and former Prime Minister of Sudan, and a member of the central body of the party. Early life al-Mahdi was born in Omdurman in 1965. She joined the Umma Party and eventually reached a leadership position within it. Omer Gamar-Eldin Ismail ( ar, عمر قمر الدين إسماعيل) is the Prime Minister's Advisor for Global Partnerships and former Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs in Sudan. He took on this position in the Cabinet reshuffle of July 2020. Personal life Omer was born in the Darfur region of Sudan. Education In Sudan
Education in Sudan is free and/or compulsory for children aged 6 to 13 years. Primary education up to the 2019/2020 academic year consists of eight years, followed by three years of secondary education. The primary/secondary educational ladder of 6+3+3 years was switched in 1965 and during the Omar al-Bashir presidency to 8+3 and is scheduled, during the 2019 Sudanese transition to democracy, to return to 6+3+3 in the 2020/2021 academic year. The primary language at all levels is Arabic. Starting in the 2020/2021 academic year, English is to be taught starting at kindergarten. Schools are concentrated in urban areas; many in the South and West were damaged or destroyed by years of civil war.
