CUS Torino Rugby
CUS Torino Rugby is an Italian rugby union club currently competing in the Serie A. They are based in Turin, in Piedmont. CUS Torino occupied the first places in the championship in the years 1934-1938 under the leadership of its French coach, Michel Boucheron, and the team captain, Vincenzo Bertolotto. The club lost the three finals played to date against Amatori Rugby Milano and Rugby Parma. History Born in 1928 under the aegis of a fascist student union (the Gruppo Universitario Fascista), the GUF participated in its first championship in 1929–30. In November 1935, GUF Torino, with Bertolotto, Vigliano and Alacevich, all three internationals, beat an second team from AS Montferrand in Clermont-Ferrand with a score of 14 to 13. Association Sportive Montferrandaise Clermont Auvergne () is a French rugby union club from Clermont-Ferrand in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes that currently competes in Top 14, the top level of the French league system. Clermont are two times French champions in 2009-10 and 2016-17. The rugby section is a part of a multi-sport club called AS Montferrand (also known as ASM Omnisports), which was founded in 1911 and adopted that name in 1919. Although the rugby section changed its name to the current ASM Clermont Auvergne in 2004, it is still frequently referred to as Montferrand both within and outside France. Ausonio Alacevich
Ausonio Alacevich (born 13 February 1910 – 2001) was a rugby union footballer who played in the 1930s, and 1940s. He played at representative level for Italy, and at club level for R.S. Ginnastica Torino, as a Prop, i.e. number 1 or 3. He was born in Zadar, Austria-Hungary. Playing career International honours Alacevich was a substitute for Italy in the 3–0 victory over Romania at Campo Testaccio, Rome on Saturday 29 April 1939. Club career Alacevich was a member of the R.S. Ginnastica Torino team that won the 1947 Campionati italiani.
