CP2 (classification)
CP2 is a disability sport classification specific to cerebral palsy. In many sports, it is grouped inside other classifications to allow people with cerebral palsy to compete against people with other different disabilities but the same level of functionality. People in this class tend to use electric wheelchairs and are quadriplegic. CP2 competitors have better upper body control when compared to CP1. Elite sports open to CP2 classified athletes include athletics, boccia, cycling, race running, slalom, swimming, lawn bowls and archery. In some of these sports, different classification systems or names for CP2 are used. When they go through classification, CP2 people need to use a wheelchair. Definition and participation Cerebral Palsy-International Sports and Recreation Association defined this class in January 2005 as, "Quadriplegic (Tetraplegic)-Severe to moderate involvement. Spasticity Grade 3+ to 3 with or without athetosis. Severe athetoid or tetraplegic with more fun ...

Ap Star
Ap and Bp stars are chemically peculiar stars (hence the "p") of spectral types A and B which show overabundances of some metals, such as strontium, chromium and europium. In addition, larger overabundances are often seen in praseodymium and neodymium. These stars have a much slower rotation than normal for A and B-type stars, although some exhibit rotation velocities up to about 100 kilometers per second. Magnetic fields Ap and Bp stars have stronger magnetic fields than classical A- or B-type stars; in the case of HD 215441, reaching 33.5 k G (3.35  T). Typically the magnetic field of these stars lies in the range of a few kG to tens of kG. In most cases a field which is modelled as a simple dipole is a good approximation and provides an explanation as to why there is an apparent periodic variation in the magnetic field, as if such a field is not aligned with the rotation axis—the field strength will change as the star rotates. In support of this theory it has been no ...

Chicago Pile-2
The Site A/Plot M Disposal Site is located within Red Gate Woods and situated on the former grounds of Argonne National Laboratory and its predecessor, the University of Chicago Metallurgical Laboratory in Cook County, Illinois and is part of the Palos Forest Preserve. The site contains buried radioactive waste from contaminated building debris, and the Chicago Pile-1 (CP-1/CP-2), and Chicago Pile-3 (CP-3) nuclear reactors. "Site A" was an early Manhattan Project code for the facility. "Plot M" was the code name used for the disposal ground. Site history During a horseback ride in early 1942, the head of the Metallurgical Project, Professor Arthur Compton, identified a plot of land in what was then known as the Argonne Forest, as the location for part of the Manhattan Project. Shortly after the December 1942 demonstration of the first self-sustaining chain reaction at the University of Chicago, the research group led by Enrico Fermi needed to move to the larger, more re ...

Complex Projective Plane
In mathematics, the complex projective plane, usually denoted P2(C), is the two-dimensional complex projective space. It is a complex manifold of complex dimension 2, described by three complex coordinates :(Z_1,Z_2,Z_3) \in \mathbf^3,\qquad (Z_1,Z_2,Z_3)\neq (0,0,0) where, however, the triples differing by an overall rescaling are identified: :(Z_1,Z_2,Z_3) \equiv (\lambda Z_1,\lambda Z_2, \lambda Z_3);\quad \lambda\in \mathbf,\qquad \lambda \neq 0. That is, these are homogeneous coordinates in the traditional sense of projective geometry. Topology The Betti numbers of the complex projective plane are :1, 0, 1, 0, 1, 0, 0, ..... The middle dimension 2 is accounted for by the homology class of the complex projective line, or Riemann sphere, lying in the plane. The nontrivial homotopy groups of the complex projective plane are \pi_2=\pi_5=\mathbb. The fundamental group is trivial and all other higher homotopy groups are those of the 5-sphere, i.e. torsion. Algebraic geometry ...

Ceruloplasmin
Ceruloplasmin (or caeruloplasmin) is a ferroxidase enzyme that in humans is encoded by the ''CP'' gene. Ceruloplasmin is the major copper-carrying protein in the blood, and in addition plays a role in iron metabolism. It was first described in 1948. Another protein, hephaestin, is noted for its homology to ceruloplasmin, and also participates in iron and probably copper metabolism. Function Ceruloplasmin (CP) is an enzyme () synthesized in the liver containing 6 atoms of copper in its structure. Ceruloplasmin carries more than 95% of the total copper in healthy human plasma. The rest is accounted for by macroglobulins. Ceruloplasmin exhibits a copper-dependent oxidase activity, which is associated with possible oxidation of Fe2+ (ferrous iron) into Fe3+ (ferric iron), therefore assisting in its transport in the plasma in association with transferrin, which can carry iron only in the ferric state. The molecular weight of human ceruloplasmin is reported to be 151kDa. Despite ext ...

Child's Play 2
''Child's Play 2'' is a 1990 American slasher film and the direct sequel to '' Child's Play'', written by Don Mancini and directed by John Lafia, one of the co-writers of the first film. It is the second installment in the ''Child's Play'' franchise and set two years after the first film; the plot follows Charles Lee Ray (better known as Chucky) continuing his pursuit for Andy Barclay, who was placed in foster care, and transferring his soul into him after being resurrected. Alex Vincent and Brad Dourif reprised their roles while Christine Elise, Jenny Agutter, Gerrit Graham and Grace Zabriskie joined the cast. ''Child's Play 2'' was released on November 9, 1990, exactly two years after the first film was released, and grossed over $35 million on a budget of $13 million. It was followed by a sequel, ''Child's Play 3'', 9 months later. Plot Two years after the first film, the Play Pals Corporation, which produces the Good Guy dolls, recovers from the negative publicity and rea ...

Warren CP-2
The Warren CP-2, also called the Warren Taperwing, or the Kinner Taperwing was the third and last aircraft built by engineering students at California Polytechnic College in the 1930s Design The aircraft is a side-by-side open cockpit biplane with conventional landing gear, powered by a Kinner K-5 radial engine. The wings used wooden spars and ribs with fabric covering. The fuel tank is mounted against the firewall. The fuselage was acquired from the liquidation of Arrow Aircraft in Lincoln, Nebraska. Operational history The aircraft was registered in the experimental category and several attempts were made to register it in the restricted category for aerial photography. New owner Clifford Bryant flew the aircraft from Fresno, California until a partial motor mount failure caused the engine to nearly fall off in flight. The aircraft was sold to Madonna Inn The Madonna Inn is a motel in San Luis Obispo, California. Opened for business in 1958, it quickly became a landmark ...

Elias MRT Station
Elias MRT station is a future underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Cross Island line (CRL) located in Pasir Ris, Singapore. This station will be part of a future extension between the Pasir Ris and Punggol stations on the Cross Island line. Elias MRT station will be situated at the junction of Pasir Ris Drive 10 and Pasir Ris Drive 3, around the military training area that will be cleared by 2022. History On 10 March 2020, LTA announced that Elias station would be part of the proposed Cross Island line (CRL). The station will be constructed as part of Punggol extension, consisting of four stations between Pasir Ris and Punggol, and was expected to be completed in 2031. However, the restrictions imposed on construction works due to the COVID-19 pandemic has led to delays and the dates were pushed by one year to 2032. The contract for the design and construction of Elias station and associated tunnels was awarded on 30 January 2023 to a joint venture between C ...
