CFGS-DT, virtual and UHF digital channel 34, branded on-air as Noovo Gatineau–Ottawa, is a Noovo- affiliated television station licensed to Gatineau, Quebec, Canada, which also serves Franco-Ontarians in the neighbouring capital city of Ottawa, Ontario. The station is owned by RNC Media, as part of a twinstick with TVA affiliate CHOT-DT (channel 40). The two stations share studios on Rue Jean Proulx and Rue Buteau in the former city of Hull; CFGS-DT's transmitter is located at Camp Fortune in Chelsea, Quebec. This station can also be seen on Vidéotron channel 5 and in high definition channel 605 in Gatineau, Rogers Cable on channel 11, channel 605, in high definition on digital channel 606 in Ottawa, and on Shaw Direct, in HD on channel 214 and SD on 725. CFGS-DT is the largest Noovo station that is not owned-and-operated by the network. China Film Giant Screen (CFGS) is a Chinese premium large film format company. The company was previously known as DMAX, with the name also referring to the film technology. It has been described as a competitor to IMAX Corporation and its IMAX film format. The company is owned by China Film Group Corporation. History The CFGS format was apparently developed by the China Research Institute of Film Science & Technology and the China Film Group Corporation. It was created in an attempt to challenge the IMAX film format that dominated the premium large format movie market until that point. The aim was to lower costs and to allow the development of Chinese film projection technology using indigenous Chinese technology and intellectual property. The format was put into commercial use in 2012. Lawsuit IMAX sued CFGS and related companies for theft of intellectual property; this court action was heard on 18 June 2014. Churston Ferrers Grammar School
Churston Ferrers Grammar School (also known as CFGS) is a selective coeducational Grammar School with Academy status, situated in the village of Galmpton in Torbay, South Devon, England. It is also a specialist Humanities College. Year 7 annual intake is approximately 130 pupils. History The school was founded in 1957 and accommodated around 350 pupils, drawn from the surrounding areas including those of the schools it replaced and as far afield as Totnes. Its first headmaster, Donald W. Carter, was head of the Dartmouth Grammar School until its closing in 1957 when Churston opened. He led the school until 1972 when he retired. In 2011, the school became an academy. Location The school is next to Churston railway station on the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway.
