CB Puig D'en Valls
Club Bàsquet Puig d'en Valls, popularly known as Bàsquet PDV and also known as Palacio de Congresos de Ibiza for sponsorship reasons, is a Spanish women's basketball club from Santa Eulària des Riu, Ibiza. History Founded in 1996, it played in the LFB between 2003 and 2012, when it was relegated to the Liga de Baloncesto de Ibiza. Puig d'en Valls qualified for the championship play-offs in 2003, 2005 and 2008; in the latter it was 3rd, its best result in the regular season. In addition it reached the 2009 Copa de la Reina's final, lost to Ros Casares, and played the FIBA Eurocup in 2004, 2009 and 2010. On the other hand, this last season saw PDV ending last in the table, but it was spared from relegation by buying Real Canoe's spot. Club Deportivo Bosco–Real Club Celta de Vigo Baloncesto is a Spanish women's basketball club from Vigo related to soccer, football club Celta de Vigo, that currently plays in the Liga Femenina de Baloncesto 2, Second League. History The club was founded in 1965 as Club Estudiantes de Vigo and became a section of the local football club Celta in 1969. Celta Vigo won three Liga Femenina de Baloncesto, national leagues and three Copa de la Reina de baloncesto, national cups between 1977 and 1984 including a double in 1982. The 2011–12 Liga Femenina de Baloncesto was the 49th edition of the Spanish premier women's basketball championship. It took place from 15 October 2011 to April 2011. Fourteen teams took part in the championship, with Caja Rural Tintos de Toro and Jopisa Ciudad de Burgos replacing relegated teams CB Olesa and Extrugasa, this one relegated due to financial problems. The Copa de la Reina de Baloncesto (English: Queen's Cup of Basketball) is an annual cup competition for Spanish women's basketball teams. The first edition of the competition, originally named Women's Senior Basketball Championship, took place in 1943, which makes it the oldest Spanish women's basketball competition, but it was only since 1978, when it took its current name, that it has been carried every year. The 2012 cup marked the 50th edition of the competition. The cup is played by the top teams of the Spanish Women's League's table in the mid of the season.
