CBS Children's Mystery Theatre
''CBS Children's Mystery Theatre'' is an American television anthology series aimed at teens and pre-teens. A total of five episodes were produced by and aired on CBS from 1980–83. Episode titles were ''The Treasure of Alpheus T. Winterborn'', ''The Haunting of Harrington House'', ''Mystery of Fire Island'', ''The Zertigo Diamond Caper'', and ''Dirkham Detective Agency''. The stories were written to emphasis the importance of deductive reasoning. Edie Adams
Edie Adams (born Edith Elizabeth Enke; April 16, 1927 – October 15, 2008) was an American comedian, actress, singer and businesswoman. She earned the Tony Award and was nominated for an Emmy Award. Adams was well known for her impersonations of sexy stars on stage and television, especially Marilyn Monroe. She was the frequent television partner of Ernie Kovacs, her husband. Adams founded two beauty businesses: Edie Adams Cosmetics and Edie Adams Cut 'n' Curl. Early life Adams was born in Kingston, Pennsylvania, the only daughter of Sheldon Alonzo Enke and his wife, Ada Dorothy (née Adams). She had an elder brother, Sheldon Adams Enke. The family moved to nearby areas such as Shavertown and Trucksville and spent a year in New York City before settling in Tenafly, New Jersey, where she attended Tenafly High School. Roscoe Lee Browne
Roscoe Lee Browne (May 2, 1922 – April 11, 2007) was an American actor and director. He resisted playing stereotypically black roles, instead performing in several productions with New York City's Shakespeare Festival Theater, Leland Hayward's satirical NBC series ''That Was the Week That Was'', and a poetry performance tour of the United States in addition to his work in television and film. He is perhaps best known for his role as Saunders in ''Soap'' (1979–1981). In 1976, Browne was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Single Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Comedy or Drama Series for his work on ABC's ''Barney Miller''. Sally Clare Kellerman (June 2, 1937 – February 24, 2022) was an American actress and singer whose acting career spanned 60 years. Her role as Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan in Robert Altman's film ''M*A*S*H'' (1970) earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. After ''M*A*S*H'', she appeared in a number of the director's projects, namely the films ''Brewster McCloud'' (1970), ''Welcome to L.A.''
