Lisa Borders
Lisa Michelle Borders (born November 25, 1957) is the former president and chief executive officer of Time's Up and former president of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Early life and education Lisa Borders was born on November 25th in 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended Atlanta Public Schools, and later The Westminster Schools in 1965 after her parents wanted a more academically challenging environment for her. At Westminster, she was one of seven African-American students on campus and fellow students were often hostile. Borders is the granddaughter of civil rights leader Rev. William Holmes Borders, pastor of Atlanta's Wheat Street Baptist Church. Borders obtained a bachelor's degree from Duke University and a Masters of Science in health administration from the University of Colorado. She serves on the Duke University Board of Trustees. Patrick Lance Borders (born May 14, 1963) is an American former professional baseball player and current minor league manager. He played as a catcher in Major League Baseball from to . He was the Most Valuable Player of the 1992 World Series as a member of the Toronto Blue Jays. Borders also won an Olympic gold medal with the United States baseball team at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. He is the current manager of the Williamsport Crosscutters of the New York–Penn League. Early years Borders was born in Columbus, Ohio, but spent the majority of his childhood in Lake Wales, Florida, where he currently resides. Ila Jane Borders (born February 18, 1975) is an American former left-handed pitcher in college and independent professional baseball player. As a female pitcher in men's leagues, Borders achieved numerous baseball milestones at the college and professional levels, including being the first female pitcher to start and win a men's professional baseball game. In four seasons from 1997 to 2000, she appeared in 52 games and posted a record of 2–4 and 6.75 earned run average while recording 36 strikeouts. Borders are generally defined as geography, geographical boundaries, imposed either by features such as oceans and terrain, or by polity, political entities such as governments, sovereign states, federated states, and other administrative division, subnational entities. Michael Borders
Michael Borders (born 1946) is an African American artist from Hartford, Connecticut, who is noted for his murals. Borders received a Bachelor's Degree from Fisk University and a Masters in Fine Art from Howard University. He studied under David Driskell and did a summer residency at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine. Borders has said that large-scale murals are the most effective way for him to convey important messages to many people. One of Borders' most prominent works is an 8-panel mural titled ''Panorama of Connecticut Industry'', which depicts the interplay of natural, human, and manufacturing history of Connecticut from the 1600s through modern times. Each panel in the mural represents a different Connecticut county, showcasing that county's particular industrial specialization and historic figures. ITV Border, previously Border Television and commonly referred to as simply Border, is the Channel 3 service provided by ITV Broadcasting Limited for the England/Scotland border region, covering most of Cumbria and Dumfries and Galloway, the Scottish Borders and parts of Northumberland.
