Boise State Broncos Football
The Boise State Broncos football program represents Boise State University in college football and competes in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) as a member of the Mountain West Conference. The Broncos play their home games on campus at Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho, and their head coach is Andy Avalos. The program is 13–7 in bowl games since 1999, including a 3–0 record in the Fiesta Bowl. As of the end of the 2022 season, the Broncos' all-time winning percentage of .729 is the highest in all of collegiate football. Nevada Wolf Pack Football
The Nevada Wolf Pack football program represents the University of Nevada, Reno (commonly referred to as "Nevada" in athletics) in college football. The Wolf Pack competes in the Mountain West Conference at the Football Bowl Subdivision level of the NCAA Division I. It was founded on October 24, 1896, as the Sagebrushers in Reno, Nevada. The Wolf Pack's home field is Mackay Stadium, located at the north end of its campus in Reno, having been moved from it original location which opened on October 23, 1909. The "new" Mackay Stadium saw its first game on October 1, 1966 with a seating capacity of 7,500 and has undergone several renovations. The stadium seats 27,000 and has played to crowds in excess (see attendance records), but decreased its capacity from 30,000 to 26,000 by the 2016 season to increase the quality of the experience in the stadium and later increased its capacity to 27,000 by the 2017 season. George Allison (coach)
George "Stub" Allison was a coach of American football and basketball and an athletic administrator. He served as interim head football coach at Boise Junior College—now Boise State University—following Harry Jacoby being called into active duty in the United States Army midway through the 1941 season. Allison compiled a 2–1 record as the coach of the Broncos. He also filled in for Jacoby as head coach of the BJC men's basketball team for the 1941-42 season, compiling a 17–14 record. In addition to these two roles, Allison was the athletic director of BJC in this period (again replacing Jacoby in that role). Harry Jacoby
Harry Joseph Jacoby (September 2, 1910 – November 9, 1993) was an American football and basketball coach and athletics administrator. He served as the third head football coach at Boise Junior College—now Boise State University—coaching in five seasons. His first tenure lasted from 1938 through the first four games of 1941, when he was called by the United States Army for active duty at Fort Warren, Wyoming. The final three games in 1941 were coached by George "Stub" Allison, who also took over athletic director duties. After World War II ended, Jacoby resumed coaching duties for the Broncos in 1946. He compiled an overall record of 14–15–2. Jacoby was also the head basketball coach at Boise Junior College for two seasons, from 1939–40 to 1940–41, tallying a mark of 24–21. Max Eiden
Max Albert Eiden (December 31, 1910 – August 22, 1954) was an American football player and coach of football and basketball. He served as the second head football coach at Boise Junior College—now known as Boise State University—coaching four seasons, from 1934 to 1937, and compiling a record of 11–17–1. Eiden was also the head basketball coach at Boise Junior College for four seasons, from 1934 to 1937, tallying a mark of 24–22. Eiden was born on December 31, 1910, in Boise, Idaho. He attended Boise High School and then the University of Idaho, where he played college football as a guard. Dusty Kline
Morris William "Dusty" Kline (January 18, 1898 – September 12, 1966) was an American football player and coach. He served as the first head football coach at Boise Junior College—now Boise State University—coaching one season in 1933 and compiling a record of 1–2–1. A native of Plainfield, New Jersey, Kline played college football at the University of Idaho as a center. In 1929, Kline was coaching football at Rupert High School in Rupert, Idaho. In 1934, he was coaching at Boise High School. Kline moved to Baker, Oregon in 1943 to become a purchasing agent for Baker War Industries, Inc. A year later, he was hired as football coach at Baker High School. Kline entered the real estate business in the 1950s. In the United States, community colleges are primarily two-year public institutions of tertiary education. Community colleges also offer remedial education, GEDs, high school diplomas, technical degrees and certificates, and a limited number of 4-year degrees. Fiesta Bowl
The Fiesta Bowl is an American college football bowl game played annually in the Phoenix metropolitan area. From its beginning in 1971 until 2006, the game was hosted at the Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona. Since 2007, the game has been played at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Since 2022, it has been sponsored by Vrbo and officially known as the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl. NCAA Division I (D-I) is the highest level of College athletics, intercollegiate athletics sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States, which accepts players globally.
