Bionic Commando
''Bionic Commando'' is a series of Platformer, platform video games developed and owned by Capcom. Unique from other platformers, the player character is unable to jump, instead using a bionic arm to cross gaps and climb ledges. The player character, Nathan "Rad" Spencer, uses this as a Grappling hook, grappling gun/hook to swing, climb and descend through levels. Seven games have been released, from the original Bionic Commando (1987 video game), 1987 ''Bionic Commando'' to 2011's ''Bionic Commando Rearmed 2''. The series is based in an alternate timeline in which Nazism is not completely eradicated following World War II. Gameplay The ''Bionic Commando'' titles share core gameplay elements that pertain to the use of protagonist Nathan "Rad" Spencer's bionic arm, which is used as a Grappling hook, grappling gun/hook to swing, climb and descend through levels. ''Bionic Commando Rearmed 2'' is a 2011 Platform game#Run-and-gun platform game, run-and-gun platform game developed by Fatshark and published by Capcom. A sequel to ''Bionic Commando Rearmed'', it features enhancements to protagonist Rad Spencer's bionic arm, which he primarily uses to grapple to and swing from objects. New bionic enhancements include abilities such as Security hacker, hacking data terminals, a powerful uppercut, and firing grenades. The game's plot revolves around a dictator named General Sabio and a missing commander from Spencer's organization, Colonel Brubaker. Spencer and a team of four other bionics are sent to locate Brubaker and his platoon and help them complete their mission of disarming Sabio's missiles. ''Bionic Commando'' is a 2009 action-adventure video game, part of the ''Bionic Commando'' series. The game was developed by Swedish developer Grin and published by Capcom. The game is a sequel to the 1988 NES game ''Bionic Commando'', with certain storyline elements taken from its 2008 remake '' Bionic Commando Rearmed''. The game runs on Grin's Diesel engine. Gameplay ''Bionic Commando'' is an action-adventure game, in which the player controls player character Nathan Spencer. The game uses several mechanics (primarily radiation) which act as barriers.
