Bi (state)
Bi () was a Chinese vassal state during the Western Zhou dynasty and the Spring and Autumn period. Creation King Wen of Zhou's fifteenth son, Bi Gonggao, is the primogenitor of the state of Bi. Thus, the surname of the rulers of Bi was Ji. Bi Gonggao was given the title of Duke of Bi by King Wu of Zhou. Since his eldest son Kai Bo was given the another title to the state of Kai, his second son Bi Zhong inherited the state of Bi. Fall After 400 years, Bi was destroyed by the Xirong. Bi-State Vietnam Gold Star Bridges
The Bi-State Vietnam Gold Star Twin Bridges, (usually referred to as simply The Twin Bridges, despite differences in their widths), are located in Henderson County, Kentucky and connect Henderson, Kentucky, and Evansville, Indiana, along U.S. Route 41 (US 41), south of the current southern terminus of Interstate 69 (I-69). The two bridges average more than 40,000 vehicles crossings a day across the Ohio River. The northbound bridge opened to traffic on July 4, 1932. The southbound bridge opened on December 16, 1965, but will be decommissioned after the completion of the Interstate 69 Ohio River Bridge about east, which is scheduled to be completed in 2031. The more historic northbound bridge will remain in service for US-41 as a two way bridge. Both of the Bi-State Vietnam Gold Star Bridges are cantilever bridges. St. Louis Downtown Airport is a public-use airport located in Greater St. Louis, one mile (2 km) east of the central business district of Cahokia Heights, in St. Clair County, Illinois, United States. It is owned by the Bi-State Development Agency. The airport is located less than 3 miles from the Gateway Arch riverfront in St. Louis and is used by many business aircraft visiting the St. Louis region. Airport services include one full-service 24-hour fixed-base operator, an instrument landing system, an FAA air traffic control tower, and its own dedicated Index B aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) service. It is utilized mainly by Saint Louis University's Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology for training purposes, as well as the St. Louis Cardinals for charter flights to away games. The league held together for nine seasons, being represented by ten cities from North Carolina and eight from Virginia. Only the Leaksville-Draper-Spray Triplets, a team that was a combination of those three cities from North Carolina, was able to make the entire nine-year run. This combination also captured the league title in two seasons, 1935 and 1941. The Bi-State League was an American baseball Class D level minor league which operated in 1915. It was the successor of the Wisconsin–Illinois League and was represented by five teams from Illinois and one from Wisconsin. The Bi-State folded during the 1915 season. History The six–team Bi-State League was formed for the 1915 season with the Aurora Foxes, Elgin Watch Makers, Freeport Pretzels, Ottawa Indians, Racine Belles and Streator Boosters as charter members under the direction of president B.M. Parsons. The league evolved from the Wisconsin-Illinois League, which had Racine as a member and folded after the 1914 season. After beginning play on May 11, 1515, the Bi-State League disbanded on July 7, 1915 after the Elgin and Aurora franchises folded. The Streator Boosters were in 1st place in the league standings when the Bi-State League folded.
