Hromada
A hromada ( uk, територіальна громада, lit=territorial community, translit=terytorialna hromada) is a basic unit of administrative division in Ukraine, similar to a municipality. It was established by the Government of Ukraine on 12 June 2020. Similar terms exist in Poland (''gromada'') and in Belarus (''hramada''). The literal translation of this term is "community", similarly to the terms used in western European states, such as Germany ('' Gemeinde''), France (''commune'') and Italy (''comune''). History In history of Ukraine and Belarus, hromadas appeared first as village communities, which gathered their meetings for discussing and resolving current issues. In the 19th century, there were a number of political organizations of the same name, particularly in Belarus. Bishche
Bishche ( ua, Біще, pl, Buszcze) is a village in Ternopil Raion, Ternopil Oblast of western Ukraine. It belongs to Berezhany urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. First historical records date Bishche as far as to 1339. Until 18 July 2020, Bishche belonged to Berezhany Raion Berezhany Raion ( uk, Бережанський район) was a raion (district) in the westernmost corner of Ternopil Oblast (province) in western Ukraine, area traditionally known as Halychyna (''Galicia'').
