Beaches Of Andhra Pradesh
The state of Andhra Pradesh has a coastline of and hence, there exist many beaches. The seacoast extends along the Bay of Bengal from Srikakulam district to Nellore district. The state tourism board APTDC promotes tourism and develops infrastructure in tourist destinations. APTDC maintains certain water sports facilities. The tourism board maintains Haritha Beach Resort at most of the beaches for promoting tourism. Rushikonda Beach is 8 km from the port city of Visakhapatnam. RK Beach, Lawsons Bay, Tenneti, Sagarnagar beaches etc., attracts many tourists to the city of Visakhapatnam. Chirala
Chirala (), (, Telugu) a city in Bapatla district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a municipality and the headquarters of Chirala mandal in Chirala revenue division. , it had a population of above 170,000. Chirala is the most populated city in Bapatla Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency. Krishna District
Krishna district is district in the coastal Andhra Region in Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, with Machilipatnam as its administrative headquarters. It is the coastal district of Andhra Pradesh. Machilipatnam is the most populated city in the district. It is surrounded on the east by Bay of Bengal, west by Guntur and north by Eluru and NTR districts and south again by Bay of Bengal. In 2022 Krishna district was divided into Krishna and NTR districts. Etymology Krishna district, with its district headquarters at Machilipatnam was formerly called Machilipatnam district. Machilipatnam (), also known as Masulipatnam and Bandar, is a city in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Narasapuram, or Narsapur, is a city in West Godavari district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Baruva Beach is situated on the east coast of Bay of Bengal in Baruva, a village at a distance of from Palasa. History Baruva Beach is one of the oldest beaches in Andhra Pradesh. Kalingapatnam
Kalingapatnam is a village in Srikakulam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Gara mandal of Srikakulam revenue division. It has one of the major beach sand deposits of the state. In medieval era it was famous for the ancient port city of Kalinga. Kalingapatnam is located at a distance of 26 km from the district headquarters and 17 km from Singupuram. Dargah Shariff of Shaik Madeena Acquiline is situated at this place.
