Archery competitions at the 2023 Parapan American Games in Santiago, Chile were held between 19 and 22 November 2023 at the Archery Center in Peñalolén. The winners of the men's and women's individual events earned a qualification spot for the 2024 Summer Paralympics. Archery At The 2024 Summer Paralympics
Archery at the 2024 Summer Paralympics will be held at Esplanade des Invalides in Paris. It consists of nine events (3 men, 3 women, 3 mixed open teams). It will be expected that there would be 140 archer slots. Qualification A total of 140 archer slots will be achieved. Archery At The 2023 Pan American Games
Archery competitions at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile will be held between November 1 and 5, 2023 at the Archery Center in Peñalolén. The highest ranked athlete in each individual recurve event (that has not yet qualified) will earn a quota spot for their country at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France along with the top mixed recurve team. Qualification A total of 98 archers will qualify to compete at the games (49 per gender). A country may enter a maximum of ten archers (five per gender). As host nation, Chile qualified eight athletes automatically (3 for the men’s and women's recurve event each, 1 for the men’s and women’s compound event each). Four qualification tournaments will be used to determine the 66 qualifiers in recurve and 32 in compound. Joseph Jacques Césaire Joffre (12 January 1852 – 3 January 1931) was a French general who served as Commander-in-Chief of French forces on the Western Front from the start of World War I until the end of 1916. He is best known for regrouping the retreating allied armies to defeat the Germans at the strategically decisive First Battle of the Marne in September 1914. His political position waned after unsuccessful offensives in 1915, the German attack on Verdun in 1916, and the disappointing results of the Anglo-French offensive on the Somme in 1916. At the end of 1916 he was promoted to Marshal of France, the first such elevation under the Third Republic, and moved to an advisory role, from which he quickly resigned.
