It is a benthic fish of shallow, rocky water on the coasts of the eastern Atlantic Ocean and the western Mediterranean Sea. Description ''Apletodon dentatus'' is small growing to a maximum length of > When viewed from above it can be seen to have a depressed triangular head. The dorsal and anal fin are short, rounded and located close to the caudal fin which is also rounded, as is the pectoral fin. The species is found in the Eastern Atlantic, from Madeira, Cape Verde, Canary Islands, Annobon Islands, mainland shore from Cape Blanco south to Port Alfred, South Africa. Description The chubby clingfish reaches a length of . It is short with a fat triangular head that tapers to a narrow tail. ''Apletodon incognitus'' is a species of clingfish of the family Gobiesocidae. The species is endemic to north-eastern Atlantic Ocean to north-western Mediterranean Sea. The juvenile fish which measure around standard length (SL) are frequently recorded as having an association with sea urchins and in beds of '' Posidonia oceanica''. The adults hide under stones covered with red coralline algae and in the empty shells of mussels near beds of '' Posidonia'' and ''Cymodocea nodosa''. Gobiesocidae
Clingfishes are fishes of the family Gobiesocidae, the only family in the order Gobiesociformes. These fairly small to very small fishes are widespread in tropical and temperate regions, mostly near the coast, but a few species in deeper seas or fresh water. Most species shelter in shallow reefs or seagrass beds, clinging to rocks, algae and seagrass leaves with their sucking disc, a structure on their chest. They are generally too small to be of interest to fisheries, although the relatively large '' Sicyases sanguineus'' regularly is caught as a food fish, and some of the other species occasionally appear in the marine aquarium trade. Distribution and habitat Clingfishes are primarily found near the shore in the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans, including marginal seas such as the Mediterranean, Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean and Gulf of California. The greatest species richness is in tropical and warm temperate regions, but the range of a few extends into colder waters, like ...

Paul Chabanaud
Paul Chabanaud (30 November 1876, in Versailles – 27 February 1959) was a French ichthyologist and herpetologist. Beginning in 1915, he worked as a volunteer under zoologist Louis Roule at the ''Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle'' in Paris. In 1919–1920, he undertook a scientific expedition to French West Africa (Senegal, Guinea) on behalf of the museum, during which he collected thousands of zoological specimens. Following his return to Paris, he served as a preparator in the laboratory of biologist Jean Abel Gruvel at the museum. He specialized in the anatomy and systematics of the flatfish (order Pleuronectiformes) and was the taxonomic authority of many herpetological and ichthyological species.

Robert A
The name Robert is an ancient Germanic given name, from Proto-Germanic "fame" and "bright" (''Hrōþiberhtaz''). Compare Old Dutch ''Robrecht'' and Old High German ''Hrodebert'' (a compound of '' Hruod'' ( non, Hróðr) "fame, glory, honour, praise, renown" and ''berht'' "bright, light, shining"). It is the second most frequently used given name of ancient Germanic origin. It is also in use as a surname. Another commonly used form of the name is Rupert. After becoming widely used in Continental Europe it entered England in its Old French form ''Robert'', where an Old English cognate form (''Hrēodbēorht'', ''Hrodberht'', ''Hrēodbēorð'', ''Hrœdbœrð'', ''Hrœdberð'', ''Hrōðberχtŕ'') had existed before the Norman Conquest. The feminine version is Roberta. The Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish form is Roberto. Robert is also a common name in many Germanic languages, including English, German, Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish, Scots, Danish, and Icelandic. It can be use ...
