Amazonas Futebol Clube, commonly referred to as Amazonas, is a Brazilian professional club based in Manaus, Amazonas founded on 23 May 2019. It competes in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, the third tier of Brazilian football, as well as in the Campeonato Amazonense, the top flight of the Amazonas state football league. History Founded on 23 May 2019 by a group of businessmen, Amazonas FC played their first professional tournament, the Campeonato Amazonense Second Division, nearly six months later. They won the tournament after defeating São Raimundo in the final. In their first Campeonato Amazonense, Amazonas FC were knocked out in the first phase. In 2021, after Manaus FC reached the finals, the club qualified to the 2022 Série D for the first time in their history, after being the best-placed team in the first phase. On 28 August 2022, Amazonas achieved a first-ever promotion to the Série C, after defeating Portuguesa-RJ in the 2022 Série D quarterfinals. H ...

Estádio Municipal Carlos Zamith
Estádio Municipal Carlos Zamith is a multi-use stadium in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. It is used mostly for football matches, and has a maximum capacity of 6,500 people. Initially projected to be a training center for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the construction of the stadium began on 5 August 2013, and had an initial cost of R$ 14 million. Named after Carlos Zamith, a notable sports journalist of the state who had died at the time, the stadium had a symbolic inauguration on 24 May 2014, with state governor José Melo de Oliveira providing the first kick. 2022 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D
The 2022 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was a football competition held in Brazil, equivalent to the fourth division. The competition began on 17 April and ended on 25 September 2022. Sixty-four teams competed in the tournament. Sixty teams qualified from their state leagues and cups, and four relegated from the 2021 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C ( Jacuipense, Oeste, Paraná and Santa Cruz). The four semi-finalists, Amazonas, América de Natal, Pouso Alegre and São Bernardo, were promoted to the 2023 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C. Campeonato Brasileiro Série D
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D (English: Brazilian Championship Serie D) is the fourth division of the Brazilian football league system, and was announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on April 9, 2008. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was formed from the split of the Série C, keeping its best 20 clubs and playing double round robin as does the top three divisions. The Série D keeps the same format of the older Série C, but with participation limited to 40 clubs recognized by the state federation. Rafael dos Santos Lacerda, sometimes known as just Lacerda (; born 12 June 1984), is a Brazilian football manager and former player who played as a central defender. He is the current manager of Amazonas.
