ICC Africa Under-19 Championships
ICC U19 Cricket World Cup Africa Qualifier (formerly ICC Africa Under-19 Championships) are a series of regular cricket tournaments organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for under-19 teams from its African member nations. It is the regional qualifier for the ICC Under-19 World Cup. The initial tournament was staged in 2001 but did not return until 2007. African Men's Handball Championship
The African Handball Nations Championship is the official competition for senior national handball teams of Africa, and takes place every two years. In addition to crowning the African champions, the tournament also serves as a qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games and for World Handball Championship. Started in 1974, it is the oldest continental handball competition. The current champions are Egypt, who won the 2022 tournament in Egypt. Only three countries have won the tournament. Tunisia, winner of the first edition, has won the title a record ten times. Egypt, with eight titles, and Algeria, with seven titles, are the only two other teams to have won the competition. Both Morocco and Algeria were banned from hosting the African Handball Championship in 2022 and 2024, Egypt were chosen to host the tournaments instead. African Futsal Championship
The Total Africa Futsal Cup of Nations (previously known as the African Futsal Championship) is the main national futsal competition of the Confederation of African Football nations. It was first held in 1996 and has been played every four years. It is a qualification to FIFA Futsal World Cup. On 6 August 2015, the CAF Executive Committee decided to change the name of the tournament from the African Futsal Championship to the Africa Futsal Cup of Nations, similar to the football's version, Africa Cup of Nations. Only 3 teams managed to win the cup since its foundation, with Egypt being the most successful team with 3 titles, followed by Morocco with two. Libya has won it once. The Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations (BSAFCON) is the main championship for beach soccer in Africa, contested between senior men's national teams who are members of the Confederation of African Football (CAF). It is the sport's version of the better known Africa Cup of Nations in association football. The African U-17 Cup of Nations for Women is association football tournament for the under 17 teams, that is held every two years, and serves as a qualifying competition for the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup. African U-20 Women's World Cup Qualification
The African U-20 Women's World Cup qualification is an association football tournament for the under 20 teams, that is held every two years, and serves as a qualifying tournament for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. In the first two editions in 2002 and 2004 only one team qualified for the World Cup, thus a final was played. From 2006 onwards the confederation was granted a second spot, so all following tournaments were played in a knock-out format only to the semi finals. The African Nations Championship (french: Championnat d'Afrique des Nations; abbreviated as CHAN), known as the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship for sponsorship purposes, is a biennial African national association football tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and first announced on 11 September 2007. The participating nations must consist of players playing in their national league competitions. The first tournament held in Ivory Coast in 2009 was won by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, who, along with Morocco, are the only countries to have won the tournament twice, with Tunisia and Libya scooping one title each.
