Katepwa Beach
Katepwa Beach ( 2006 population: ) is a former resort village in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within Census Division No. 6. It is now part of the District of Katepwa. Katepwa Beach is on the eastern shore of Katepwa Lake in the RM of Abernethy No. 186, approximately south-east of the town of Fort Qu'Appelle on Highway 56. Located on the south side of Katepwa Beach is Katepwa Point Provincial Park and on the east side are two gold courses. Katepwa Beach Golf Course is an 18-hole course and Katepwa Family Nine Golf Course is a 9-hole course. Katepwa
Katepwa ( 2016 population: ) is a resort village in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within Census Division No. 6. It is on the eastern and southern shores of Katepwa Lake in the Rural Municipality of Abernethy No. 186. The name ''Katepwa'' likely comes from the Cree word ''Kahtapwao'' meaning "What is calling?" The name was given to the last in the chain of four lakes, Katepwa Lake. Legend has it that spirits inhabited the shores of the lake and First Nation people would hear voices on the lake. The Resort Village of the District of Katepwa was incorporated on July 24, 2004. Balcarres ( ); 2006 population 598) is a town located in southern Saskatchewan, Canada along Highway 10 and Highway 22, approximately 85 km northeast of Regina. Qu'Appelle River
The Qu'Appelle River is a river in the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba that flows east from Lake Diefenbaker in south-western Saskatchewan to join the Assiniboine River in Manitoba, just south of Lake of the Prairies, near the village of St. Lazare. It is located in a region called the Prairie Pothole Region of North America, which extends throughout three Canadian provinces and five U.S. states. The 2016 Canadian census was an enumeration of Canadian residents, which counted a population of 35,151,728, a change from its 2011 population of 33,476,688. The census, conducted by Statistics Canada, was Canada's seventh quinquennial census. The official census day was May 10, 2016. Census web access codes began arriving in the mail on May 2, 2016.
