Abdominojugular Test
The abdominojugular test, also known as abdominojugular reflux (AJR), is a physical examination test useful in diagnosing right ventricle dysfunction, particularly right ventricular failure. AJR is a test for measuring jugular venous pressure (JVP) through the distention of the internal jugular vein. A positive AJR test correlates with the pulmonary artery pressure and thus is a marker for right heart dysfunction, specifically right ventricular failure. It is published by the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) and is based in Leesburg, VA. The current editor-in-chief (August 2020) is Andrew B. Rosenkrantz. History The publication has undergone several changes throughout its history. The initial publication in 1906 was entitled the ''American Quarterly of Roentgenology'', and was officially associated with the ARRS in 1909. In 1913, journal was renamed the ''American Journal of Roentgenology'', and publication frequency was increased to a monthly basis under editor Preston M. Hickey. Hickey would remain editor-in-chief for approximately 10 years, and became a pioneering voice for evolution of radiologic education and reporting. The ''American Journalism Review'' (''AJR'') was an American magazine covering topics in journalism. It was launched in 1977 as the ''Washington Journalism Review'' by journalist Roger Kranz. It ceased publication in 2015. History and profile The first issue of the magazine appeared in October 1977. In 1987 it was acquired by Henry Catto, a former U.S. ambassador, and his wife Jessica Hobby Catto, who was part of the family that published the ''Houston Post''. The Cattos donated the publication to the University of Maryland, College Park in 1987. In 1992 Rem Rieder became the editor. It took the name ''American Journalism Review'' in 1993. The university's Philip Merrill College of Journalism took control of the journal in 2011. The Association of Jewish Refugees (AJR) is the specialist nationwide social and welfare services charity representing and supporting Jewish victims of Nazi oppression, and their dependants and descendants, living in Great Britain. The AJR celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2016 with a series of events including a reception at the Wiener Library in London and a two-day seminar at JW3, also in London. Historical overview The AJR was established on 20 July 1941 to support and represent the interests of the estimated 70,000 Jewish Refugees from German-speaking countries who fled to Britain to escape Nazi oppression before the Second World War. Allison Blair Jones Rushing (born 1982) is an American attorney and jurist serving as a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit since March 2019. Early life, family, and education Born in Hendersonville, North Carolina, Rushing graduated from East Henderson High School in East Flat Rock, North Carolina.
