AA Drink–leontien.nl was a cycling team based in the Netherlands. The title sponsors were AA Drink ('after activity drink'), a Dutch sports drinks brand owned by United Soft Drinks, and leontien.nl, a women's health and fitness website associated with former champion cyclist Leontien van Moorsel, whose husband Michael Zijlaard was the team manager. In August 2012, Zijlaard informed the riders and staff that the team would disband at the end of the 2012 racing season, as AA Drink were not extending their sponsorship beyond 2012 and he and van Moorsel had decided not to seek a new sponsor. Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on Road surface, paved roads. Road racing is the most popular professional sport, professional form of bicycle racing, in terms of numbers of competitors, events and spectators. Lucy Martin
Lucy Martin (born 5 May 1990) is a British retired professional road and track cyclist. Career Martin was born in Whiston, Merseyside and grew up in Widnes, Cheshire where she attended Riverside College. She was spotted by British Cycling's Olympic Talent Team at the age of 15, and later moved on to their under-23 Olympic Academy Programme, which rode as . In 2011, Martin was signed by the women's team as one of four British riders. Following the disbandment of that team, she was one of six of their riders, including all four British riders, picked up by for the 2012 season. She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Women's road race. In August 2015 Martin announced her immediate retirement from competition. She subsequently joined from 2016, working on the team's digital content and PR, and she also works as a commentator on professional cycling. Adriana ("Adrie") Visser (born 19 October 1983 in Hoorn) is a former Dutch track and road racer who lives in Wieringerwerf. Visser started her professional career in 2001, when she finished second at the Dutch road race championship. She came fifth in the time trial. In track cycling she won her first national titles, becoming Dutch champion in the 500m time trial and sprint. She also won a silver medal in the points race. At the world championships in Trexlertown, Pennsylvania, USA, she was seventh in the 500m time trial and eighth in the sprint and individual pursuit. She won a bronze medal at the 2003 World Track Championships in Stuttgart. In the same year she won the Dutch points, scratch and individual pursuit championships for the first time. Kirsten Carlijn Wild (born 15 October 1982) is a Dutch former professional racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2004 and 2021, for eight professional teams. During her track cycling career, Wild rode at the Summer Olympic Games in 2012, 2016 and 2020, winning a bronze medal at the latter Games, in the omnium. She won eighteen medals including nine golds at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships, and eighteen medals including eight golds at the UEC European Track Championships. Shelley Olds (born September 30, 1980) is an American former professional bicycle racing, racing cyclist. Career Olds was born and raised in Groton, Massachusetts. She studied health and human performance at Roanoke College in Virginia, and was captain of their women's soccer team. A star on the soccer pitch, Olds was a two-time NSCAA All-South Region selection, four-time All-ODAC selection and the 2002 ODAC Player of the Year. She was inducted into the Roanoke Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016. After college, she moved to California and was introduced to cycling by Rob Evans, whom she later married.
