2024 Wimbledon Championships
The 2024 Wimbledon Championships is a Grand Slam tennis tournament that is currently taking place at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London, England. Carlos Alcaraz and Markéta Vondroušová are the reigning champions in the singles tournaments. Tournament The tournament will be played on grass courts, with all main draw matches scheduled to be played at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Wimbledon, from 1 July to 14 July 2024. Qualifying matches are scheduled from 24 to 27 June 2024 at the Bank of England Sports Ground in Roehampton. The 2024 Championships will be the 137th edition, the 130th staging of the Ladies' Singles Championship event, the 56th in the Open Era and the third Grand Slam tournament of the year. Laura Samson (also known as Laura Samsonová; born 10 March 2008) is a Czech tennis player. Career Junior career A member of TK Sparta Prague, Samsonová won her first junior title as a 13 year-old at a J5 event in Prostějov in a October 2021, without dropping a set. It was her first junior-level event. She then won her second J5 event in November 2021 in Silla-Saledar in Spain, and reached the final in her third, in Montemar. Henry Searle (born 29 March 2006) is a British tennis player. In July 2023 he won the Wimbledon Boys' singles title. Career In 2022 he won the Under 16 & Junior British National Championship. Searle reached the quarterfinals at the 2023 French Open boys singles before losing to eventual winner Dino Prizmic.
