The 2024 WTA Tour (branded as the 2024 Hologic WTA Tour for sponsorship reasons) is the global elite women's professional tennis circuit organized by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) for the 2024 tennis season. The Grand Slam in tennis is the achievement of winning all four major championships in one discipline in a calendar year, also referred to as the "Calendar-year Grand Slam" or "Calendar Slam". In doubles, a team may accomplish the Grand Slam playing together or a player may achieve it with different partners. The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) is the governing body of the men's professional tennis circuits – the ATP Tour, the ATP Challenger Tour and the ATP Champions Tour. It was formed in September 1972 by Donald Dell, Jack Kramer, and Cliff Drysdale to protect the interests of professional tennis players, and Drysdale became the first President. Linda Nosková (born 17 November 2004) is a Czech tennis player. She has a career-high singles ranking by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) of No. 56, reached on 9 January 2023, and a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 160, set on 3 October 2022. Elena Rybakina defeated Aryna Sabalenka in the final, 6–0, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2024 Brisbane International. She did not drop a set en route to her sixth WTA Tour title, becoming the first player to do so at Brisbane since Victoria Azarenka in 2016. The 2024 Brisbane International was a professional tennis tournament on the 2024 ATP Tour and 2024 WTA Tour. It was played on outdoor hard courts in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
